Hotel Room...
Reyansh is standing by the big window looking outside to the night sky of Mumbai as well as the traffic down below. He is wearing a white bathrobe with his grim expressions. His bangs are straight on his forehead. Suddenly Sonia comes also wearing a bathrobe and hugs him from the back. Reyansh doesn't seem much surprise but he doesn't make a move to touch her. His demeanor is still grim. Sonia pressing her cheeks on his back asks him shyly with a smile, "You are jealous aren't you?" Moving her head to look at him, she continues, "You keep on asking me about my sponsor." She laughs. Reyansh blinks to break his chain of thoughts and turns around to face her with his charming smile.
"I have a lot of money, if it is about that... You don't have to work for him..." he pulls her close to him as he proceeds to the couch beside them and makes her sit on his lap. "It is just that he has connections." Sonia reasons as Reyansh listens to her seriously. She continues voicing her suspicion, "The police station let me out immediately... and... he gives out huge amounts of easy money." She seems to be a little drunk as her words start to slur. "Easy money?" Reyansh questions probing to get more info. "The construction company is my money too. I can control the mayor and the employees at the mayor's office however I want to." She confesses to him.
It is an expensive hotel room. There is a queen size bed in the middle all made. There is a couch to sit. There is also a side table exactly opposite from from Reyansh and Sonia are sitting. When looking under the table, there is a recorder with a camera that is recording all their conversation. After her drunken confession to Reyansh, Sonia laughs as she claps her hand. Reyansh also smiles playing with his ear. Then he asked watching her expression and intently listening to her, "You saw it?" "Did you actually see them taking the money?" Reyansh ask as he notices her eyes closing. As Sonia tries to come up with an answer in her drunken state, the hotel phone rang.
Sonia looks irritated at the interruption while Reyansh doesn't look happy either. He closes his eyes for a second to calm himself and then turns towards her but as the phone kept ringing he suddenly stretch his hand to the ring to pick the receiver. "Yes?" He questions. The receptionist answers where Taani is intently leaning on the reception desk. "A woman wants you to come down to the parking lot. She says that she left her cell phone in your car," the receptionist told him. "Ah, she's driving me crazy." Reyansh mumbled to him. "I don't know anyone like her," he replied on the phone. Taani who was listening to this whole conversation reach out to grab the phone. "I'm the "ten dollar". My cell phone is in your car." She informed him. "It will only take a minute. You can then go back to finishing your business," she requested politely with a smile. "What is she saying?" by saying that Reyansh hanged up. While Sonia's head fell on Reyansh's shoulder.
"Ah crap, I shouldn't have called. He might file a claim. Go on now, go," the receptionist told Taani as he took the phone back in irritation. "But I saw my cell phone in the seat of that car parked over there." Taani told him pointing towards the parking lot. "I saw it," she insisted but he payed no heed to her. "Ah crap, that despicable jerk," Taani cried in anger. She walks out of the hotel to the parking lot where the car was parked.
Parking Lot...
Taani comes to Reyansh's car. She looks inside the window from the passenger seat. "Oh. My cell phone.." Taani whined as she look inside to see her phone as she stand while putting her hand on the window. Her phone starts ringing. "Oh, my driving job! Oh, my money, my money..." Taani whined as slap her hand on the window glass again and again. She stands up straight and look at the tall hotel building. She is looks furious. She hears her phone ring again. She looks inside and the caller ID says "Hospital".
Reyansh's Hotel Room...
Reyansh and Sonia both are sitting on the corner of the wed drinking red wine. Sonia gulped it all down with glee as wipes her lips with her finger tips looking drunk. "Did you see it in person?" Reyansh questioned again. Sonia puts her head on his shoulder with sigh as she closes her eyes, "They don't do such things in front of me. I head about it," she told him her words slurring. Her glass fell from her left hand on the carpet as she fell on the bed drunk. Reyansh moves away a little to face her and asks intrigued with a smile, "How much did he give?" "Millions..." Sonia replies with her eyes closed lying on the bed. "Millions? How many millions?" Reyansh continues to interrogate. "He wrote it down. In the notebook." Sonia mumbled, "He always writes it down. Since he's finicky. Ack, so finicky," she finishes. "Notebook?" Reyansh questions more to himself than her.
Suddenly he hears a car security alarm going off. He gets from the bed and goes to the big window to have a look. He looks down from the window, "What is this?" he wonders. With close look, he notices Taani kicked his car that set off the alarm. It is his car that is going off. "What is she?" he asked incredulous. After kicking his one last time, she goes off. In the mean time, Reyansh comes running out of the hotel. He hurry towards his car. He beeps his car and the security alarm stops. He looks around but there was no sign of Taani. Then he heard a phone ring. He goes around and open the passenger door. There is her I-phone sitting on the passenger seat. He brings it out and reads the caller ID "Hospital". A dark expression covers his face as he looks at the phone screen.
Hospital...
"Please perform the procedure on him, Doctor," Taani begged as they walk out of the room. "I've given all the money I earned today to the hospital." Taani said in tears."Please understand our position," the doctor said gravely. "The Administrators are asking why we're performing such expensive insertion surgery on a vegetative patient." The doctor explained. "We've reached the limit," he said softly."Just give up," he told her. "The vegetative patients are humans too!" she counter back. "There have been cases where people wake up after 17 years! And what if my dad wakes up?" she questions in tears grip voice. "So you're going to let my dad go because of money?" she questions again. Taking a deep breath and controlling herself, she continues, "I told you I would arrange the money." "Please put in the stents(medical instruments for arteries)," she begged, "Please save my dad!"
"Let's do that procedure." said a man's voice from ahead of Taani. Taani can't believe it that same jerk. "I already paid so let's do the surgery." Reyansh continues. He looks at Taani who eyes are filled with tears. She looks at the doctor with questioning eyes. Reyansh puts his hand down his pocket and pulls out her cell phone, "Here's your cellphone." he said as he puts it down on the chair by the wall. He turns around and walks away. Taani looks at the doctor and then runs behind him.
Reyansh walks out the Hospital to his car. Taani calls out behind his as he reaches his car, "Excuse me. Wait a minute." Without paying any heed to her, Reyansh opens his door and gets in his car. Taani holds the door before he can close it. Reyansh looks up at her. "Excuse me..." Taani said gently."Why did you help me?" she questions him unsure. Reyansh answers looking away, "I didn't help you. I didn't want to hear that someone died because of me." he replied brushing it away. "I'm really thankful." Taani answered with gratitude,"I will repay you one day. Give me your account number." she said out of the blue. Reyansh instantly looks at her. "Don't repay me," he says shaking his head.
"That money is nothing to me, and I'll just think of it as making an early donation to the needy." he replied looking away again. He tries to drive away but she again caught the door. "I'm struggling because I don't have that money which is nothing to you." Taani says with pride. "But I'm not a needy neighbor," she continued with anger. "I'm a person who knows how to be thankful. So thank you." she says calming her self down. She let go off his door and he drives away.
Taani stays back looking at him drive away. He drives away with a glace at her in the rear view mirror, while she says to herself, "I will repay you." While her father gets the operation, Taani receives a phone call, accepting her into the Parliament House of India as a secret service agent-in-training. She jumps for joy.
Next Day...
Taani reports to her first day of training, nervous and happy. She is wearing a white shirt and black dress pants with black jacket. She has her hair tied back in a ponytail. But the most important element, she has a big smile on her face. Also, She has a bag on her shoulder.
Parliament House of India...
It is a big room which has glass walls on all sides. There is a big Indian flag in the middle. The guards are getting their orientation right now. Taani's lined up for her first roll call like the rest of the people. "First, we sincerely welcome you into Parliament House of India. But don't relax just because you got accepted into the Parliament House. I hope that you keep your heads straight and do you best..." The lead agent continues the orientation just then Reyansh walks in.
He looks amazing in his black suit and white shirt inside. His whole look is completed with his tie. He left his jacket button open which shows his perfect physic. His hair is straight while his bangs are across his forehead. With his laptop bag in his right hand and his left in his pocket, he suavely walks in as he owns the place. The lead agent yells at him for being tardy on his first day, and dressed inappropriately at that. Everyone turns around to see who he's talking to. Reyansh even turned around to look exactly that guy was talking to. When he turned back around, Taani gasps to see none other than playboy-turned-daddy-savior standing right there.
Taani instantly turns around when recognize him not quick enough as Reyansh caught a glimpse of her. "I'm not a bodyguard," Reyansh replies with a head shake. "Then what are you?" The lead agent asks. "They told me to come here," Reyansh says points behind him. Taani turns around once again and he caught a full slight of her. Just then a man comes from behind him, "Doctor!" the man called. Reyansh turns around to look at him. This man is tall with short hair and wears big glasses. He is also wearing a suit but not classy as Reyansh.
"You were here." the man said while Taani mumbles to herself, "Doctor? That player?" her expression of shock. "The National Securities and Communications team is in the next building, and not here," the man informed Reyansh. "Oh, the professor from MIT?" the lead agent haughtily questions. Now Reyansh has complete attention of Taani as she completely turns around to look at him, "MIT?!" Reyansh as about to turn around and leave but then stop in midstep and turns around again to look at her. At that instant, Taani turns around closing her hoping against hope that he didn't see her. Reyansh stares at her back with squint eyes.
"You.. the $10?" Reyansh says pointing a finger at her. Taani turns halfway not completely with a "Oh no God" expressions. "I'm right, am I not?" Reyansh asks to confirms as he walks towards her with a big smile. "You are a body guard here?" he asks as he stops few steps behind her facing her back. "That makes sense.. you were really fast," Reyansh says with a smile remembering his previous encounter. The lead agent asks, "Do you know him?" At the same time, while Reyansh said, "Yes." with a smile; Taani exclaimed a "No!". Everybody in the turns to look between them while Taani closes her eyes in embarrassment. The lead agent looks at her questioningly. Reyansh still smiles looking at her while she looks like she can die right then there.
