But I agree with him. They all mumble so much...god knows what they're saying. Out of the four, I also like Varun best so far and I haven't seen HSKD yet. But I also think Varun's undoing might be aping Govinda/ Salman too much. You have to have some originality.

Arjun's best is Ishaqzaade...I think he does best with those goon-like negative characters. He has this goonda mawali look about him and he actually seems interested in what he's doing...otherwise he seems to be sleepwalking. Sid is just boring on screen. Very good looking ya, but guy needs a lot of work. He was nothing great in either HTP or EV. 😕

Ranveer's best is still BBB. I haven't thought much about him in any other film...and Gunday was just terrible. So much hamming. He's very energetic and has good screen presence but definitely has a tendency to overact and overdo it. I wish he would lay off the oil too. Nothing hot about a greasy body.

Haven't read the article yet..but no one starts as perfect actors..they all improve with time. I like all of them: Varun, ARK, Sid, Ranveer, and Arjun. I like varun the most though because he is a good dancer and has amazing screen presence. Ranveer comes second.

Varun is the most promising ? 😲. How ? He has stagnated, not shown growth. Sid, Ranveer and Arjun have shown versatility and growth in a short time. Especially compare Sid and Varun. He like Pari started better than Alia and Sid, but both have overtaken him IMO.

As for dialog, clean your ears. The majority of actors do not enunciate. And most people in RL mumble, swallow words, have an accent and so on. Why should film be different. It would be ridiculous and unrealistic if everyone spoke slowly and clearly on screen.

One of the greatest characters in film is of Vito Corleone in the Godfather. Marlon Brando. Can you understand anything he says ? He mumbles. It is legendary that Brando stuffed his mouth with cotton for the audition and wore a mouthpiece I think to create the character. Ranveer and Arjun have shown nuances in speech for me in the characters they have created. My God, if you cannot hear a difference between Lootera and Ram Leela, have your ears cleaned. 🤔

Okay read the article..Agree with everything the writer said except the part where he mentions DP was better in RL. She wasn't.

And I agree with him when he says Varun is the most promising. He can do comedy without going OTT (MTH) and not to mention it was a solo hero film that he had to carry on his shoulder.. he's been getting good reviews for HSKD. He was good in SOTY too. What works best for Varun is his screen presence and dialogue delivery is better than the others..he is probably more versatile too. On top of that he's an amazing dancer. Only place he lacks is the other guys like Sid and ARK are better looking. But yes he needs to stop copying Salman and Govinda esp in MTH. But makers are to be blamed there too..they were trying to cash in on Salman's style.

Varun is very confident and that works for him instead of against him. His script sense also seems to be good. All his films are hits and his future projects seem very promising for him as an actor.

Varun is the only one I barely see any potential in. Never have. So I'm not going to be jumping on that bandwagon anytime soon.
