Lord Rama fulfilled his duty as a king, and Sita fulfilled her destiny and chose her self respect over comforts of a queen. Hinduism has been contradictory on women, on one hand we have quotes like

yatra naaryastu puujyante ramante tatra devataaH |

yatraitaastu na puujyante sarvaastatraaphalaaH kriyaaH ||

The divine are extremely happy where women are respected ;

where they are not, all actions (projects) are fruitless.
On the other we draupadi being gambled away by a supreme gyaani like Yudhishtir. But at the heart of Hinduism is a philosophy that everything happens for a reason...Draupadi was the prime factor by Kurkukshetra yudh, it was her vengeance that resulted in destruction on Duryodhan and his allies.

This happens in the 3rd episode, 20 June 2013. By coincidence, I just watched it last night! I have been feeling rather empty about JA these days, don't want to start a new serial, and sometimes make up by going back to old epis that were full of life, color, and vitality. So last night, I watched the first 12 episodes, about 5.5 commercial free hours---though with tea breaks!

The episode occurs when Jalal was fully under BK's influence and HB used to visit Chishti Saheb complaining that her son is so cruel and brings bad name to Islam. Around the same time when he had a sipahi's feet chopped off for stealing his shoes, right after the prayers, an incident even quoted by Jodha!

Anyway...BK, Jalal and a few others ride into a market where this woman was shopping for bangles (I think). BK was concerned that Jalal is always worrying about Rajputs, and a worried mind is not good for warriors. So he suggested, "is aurat ka lutf uthao" and Jalal took up the idea, "khayal bura nahin hai". Then it proceeds how Rashmi described it. However what Jalal says to the woman at the end, while pushing her away, was something like, "You could have come to me with your own free will. Then nobody would have dared to cast his eyes towards you. But now go to that husband of yours who won't even try to protect you."

Below the "lutf" surface, BK's goal was to tell Jalal that Mughals should deal with Rajputs by "kuchal do" their self-respect and trash what they value, like the honor of their women. Jalal was on an additional kick, part of his "no dil" phase, to show that mohabbat doesn't exist, or is at least unnecessary (eg, the husband here runs for his own life instead of protecting his wife).

There is another sad and poignant aspect to this encounter. This wasn't like Alauddin Khilji lusting after Padmini, or even Jalal's own later determination to possess Jodha. This woman meant absolutely nothing to him. What was almost certainly a life-shattering event for this couple was just a playful moment for the royal party.

By the way, I have found a good source of old episodes, to watch or download, in HD quality and commercial free. Because of some tedapan, I don't want to spell it out publicly, but will be happy to share by PM. (However, let's not hijack Mansi's thread. Please PM me.)

they may actually show her going to jungle living in a hut and raising luv and khush ...and then 5 year later meeting their father who came to the jungle and aiming an arrow on ruqaiyya beghum 😆...then mummy handing over the boys to pappa and jumping off the khyber samadhi cliff
