As both Lin and Yosh won't have internet connection, they might not be able to send in something.. Just write about the members you know about.. Anything and everything! The more information I get, the easier it'll get to make questions, and the more fun the contest will be! (No fun if everyone gets everything right.. 😕😉)

Salman Khan
We were in the midst of interviewing Madhuri Dixit once, when Salman Khan dropped by to meet her. He peeped in, Madhuri smiled, and said that she was doing an interview. Anyone else would have accepted the situation and returned later. Sallu, as we know him, isn't anyone else. He disappeared - for the moment. Much later, when we tried to leave Madhuri's make-up room, we found the door bolted from outside! Sallu, as we said, 'Khan' do anything. (Now we laugh about it, but then, it didn't seem so funny since we had to knock and yell for 15 minutes before someone opened the door for us.)

Does Sallu need a reason to party?

Not really. The actor held a star-studded get-together at his Bandra pad on Sunday because 'he is in town' (and presumably bored)

Salman Khan has been out of Mumbai for many weeks (first to attend the IIFA Awards in Yorkshire and then to shoot for Mera Bharat Mahaan in Ladakh), and his friends have been getting withdrawal symptoms since his famed Saturday parties were on the backburner.

However, now that he is back in town, he surprised his friends by calling them over for a party on Sunday instead. Since Sallu's parties are rarely small, the 'Khan'daan played host to over 25 people at the casual do.



Says a source close to Salman, "Salman threw a surprise party on Sunday at his home (Galaxy Apartments) in Bandra. There was no particular reason for the party, because whenever he is in town he organises a Saturday get-together at his pad. I guess he was just happy to be back in town after a long time and wanted to be among friends."

Food for thought

However, friends who thought they were attending an intimate party were surprised at the turnover. Says the source, "Even I was surprised at the number of people who turned up.

Preity Zinta was there, as was Riteish Deshmukh, Karan Johar, Isha Koppikar with boyfriend Inder Kumar, Katrina Kaif, David Dhawan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan (who came in together), Zayed Khan, Dino Morea, Ashmit Patel, VJ Anusha with boyfriend Rannvijay, Amrita Arora and Arbaaz (sans Malaika, who is in Cardiff with Shah Rukh Khan for the Cardiff Show Mela; Sohail is in Ladakh shooting for Mera Bharat Mahaan), Nandita Mahtani, and Anna Singh with husband Jaiveer. The party rocked till 4.30 am."

The food, the guest insists, was delicious. "It was all ghar ka khana. There was parda biryani, various chicken dishes, lal mans (a Rajasthani mutton dish), dahi vada and kheer. Salim Khan played host to the hilt along with Helen and Salma aunty."

Interestingly, Salman's current best friend Saif Ali Khan was missing from the party. Director Farah Khan, too hadn't been invited. Wonder why!

Sallu gifts Taj Mahal to Ali

Salman Khan is extremely excited about his first English film, Marigold, to be released by this year-end. Khan stars with Hollywood actress Ali Larter, who has acted in films like Final Destination and Legally Blonde and the popular television show, Heroes (Star World).

The two actors shared a brilliant equation on the sets. So much so, that Khan even gifted her a replica of the Taj Mahal before she returned to America.A source says, "They were shooting a song sequence in Agra and Ali was mesmerised by the Taj.

She even took a tour of the monument and clicked pictures with Salman and the crew. During lunch break, she went shopping with a local guide as she wanted to buy a replica of the Taj Mahal."

Disappointed

The source says Ali returned disappointed as she couldn't get a replica made of authentic marble. When Salman came to know about this, he immediately arranged it.

"Bhai knows a lot of people in Agra, so all he had to do was make one phone call," adds the source.

Salman got the replica gift wrapped for Ali and gave it to her a day before she left. "Bhai has always been generous to his co-stars. He didn't want Ali to go home disappointed, so he got the best piece," says the source.

Holly outing

Willard Carroll, whose earlier works include Playing By Heart (starring Sean Connery and Angelina Jolie), has directed Marigold. The film is a romantic comedy about an American actress Marigold Lexton (Ali Larter), who gets stranded in Mumbai.

Later, she gets a cameo role in a Bollywood musical and meets Salman, who plays a choreographer. Marigold has been shot in Agra, Rajasthan, Mumbai and Goa.

The film is nearly two hours long and has seven songs composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It has been written by Javed Akhtar.
