B: I am Bani Waliaā¦ wife of Jai Walia and a person who is totally opposite of youā¦
J: That is the first time and probably the last time I am ever going to hear from your mouth that you are my wifeā¦
B: So you accept me being your wife?
J: Noā¦yesā¦ I don't knowā¦
B: We are still rivals and I am sure you wouldn't like to step out of that position just nowā¦
J: Aren't you mad at me Bani? After all I have done to youā¦
B: what did u do to me?
J: I yell at youā¦ I tried to wipe out your company from the business world and etcā¦
B: that is a hard question to answer Mr. Waliaā¦
J: whats with the 'Mr.Walia'?
B: why?
J: you never called me Mr.Walia beforeā¦
B: that's cuz our relation then was not formal
J: and now it is?
B: I will call you Jaiā¦ when I feel like it okay? Now can we get going?
J: So now it is your wish?
B: Just for this nightā¦
J: But where are we going?
Jai never got his answer because Bani just started walking. Jai followed wondering where she is taking him. Both of them got in the car and Bani gave Jai directions to a small mela kind of thing. No one was there except a man standing there, as if waiting for them. Bani got out of the car and rushed to talk to him, while Jai parked the car. He came to them, just in time to hear Bani thanking him.
Bani walked in the park along with Jai, who was totally confused.
J: Baniā¦ this is closedā¦
B: Noā¦
J: Will you tell me what is happening?
B: That guy is a good friend of mine and I requested him to open the park till we are here.
J: and why are we here in this park at midnight.
B: let me guessā¦ you never went to a park like this or on the small ridesā¦
Jai shook his head in NO. Bani just nodded as if she guessed this already. She lead him to the ferris wheel and both of them got in. The ride started after a few seconds. It started slow and went faster and faster. Bani was thrilled. Its been ages since she went on one of these rides. She turned to jai and couldn't help, but laugh. Jai was sitting stiff, with no expression. The ride was going a bit too fast and Bani loved it. BUT, apparently Jai didn't. The ride ended after a few minutes. And Jai was the first one out. Bani started launghing out loud. Her laughter was heard through the still night.
J: Ha ha haā¦ very funny. You can stop laughing now.
B: You should have seen yourselfā¦ as if death was right in front of youā¦
J: it was too fastā¦
B: but stillā¦ you were sooo funnyā¦ wish I could've taken a pictureā¦
Bani continued to laugh much to Jai's annoyance. Bani stopped after a few minutes looking at his expression. They stopped by a small bangle stall, where lots of bangles were there. Bani stopped and looked at the bangles longinglyā¦. Jai just smiled at her innocence. He picked up bangles of each and every colour and handed it to the stall owner to pack them. He handed that bag to Bani as he paid.
B: Are these really for me?
J: No baniā¦ they are for meā¦
Bani smiled and looked down shyly. No one ever has bought her a gift like this. She always had to do things herself. And today, someone, who is a complete stranger bought her bangles. Jai handed Bani the bag, containing the bangles and both of them started walking towards the exit. Jai didn't want any of those rides again and Bani was too much in a daze to realize where she was heading. But nevertheless, when they reached car, Bani directed Jai to a small daba, which was deserted.
Bani walked up to the guy and order something. She came back and sat with Jai on a bench, outside the little dabba.
J: what are you thinking about?
B: nothing importantā¦
J: do u always go to places like these?
B: never judge a book by its coverā¦
J: I am not judgingā¦ I am jus curiousā¦
B: well, a childhood friend showed me this dabba and I love going on rides ever since I was smallā¦ especially with my dadā¦ Bani's face became a little dull, thinking about her dad and Jai immediately noticed that..
J: you miss him a lot ā¦ don't youā¦
B: yeahā¦ having a family of own, is something really fortunateā¦
J: I knowā¦ I lost my parents in a car accident only when I was ten years old and I never felt the same againā¦ I still had my brother with meā¦ but it was as if something was missing in my lifeā¦. And then I concentrated hard in my studies and now the walia industriesā¦ I want bhaiyya to take restā¦ afterall he got just married to bhabhi and he should enjoy because he worked hard for many yearsā¦ and now it is my turnā¦
B: you are a very good business man
J: I doubt thatā¦
B: seriouslyā¦ you work very hard and when it comes to handling a businessā¦ you are very harsh and arrogantā¦ the business tycoon JWā¦
J: it is not my faultā¦ you need to have the right kind of attitude for the right kind of situationā¦
B: whatever you sayā¦
Just they two plate of dosa arrived. Bani started to eat and encouraged Jai, who was delighted by the tasteā¦
J: this is deliciousā¦
B: it really isā¦
After finishing, both of them approached tha car and set off once again. And this time, Bani led Jai to a familiar place.
