People accused me of being partial to Deepika: Rohit TOI ARTICLE

Director Rohit Raj Goyal who has quit as director of a TV show Diya aur Baati Hum is upset. Soon after he married actress Deepika Singh, there were reports of the lead actor of the show not being happy with his role and that he would quit.

But it came as a surprise when Rohit decided to put in his papers and move on. While there were reports that he is focusing on directing another show and making it as successful, the real reason for him quitting the show is something else.

He said, "I came to Mumbai with a dream of becoming a filmmaker. And I am directing a film now and it will soon go on the floor. How much more will I work on an already successful show? I have to stop being associated with number 1 and again start growing with another project." The director also expressed how people had wrongly speculated the reasons of his exit.
He says, "The lead actor and I share a professional relationship and Deepika and I also have been professional on the sets. Everyone knows that she has been treated equally like others. People accused me of being partial. That's not true at all."
