Great post, well said!
Its like a breath of fresh air to see a strong Indian woman standing up for herself, especially in Indian dramas.

Loved ur post.👍🏼

Totally agree with you. I just loved Ishita in today's episode.

She is a true fighter. She clearly told Raman that she doesnt deserve this kind of treatment and cant tolerate Raman's majboori jaap.

I dont understand why Raman is so maajboor. I am fed up seeing him crying like a baby.😡

But she is ready to take the case back if she gets apology from Shagun . Thats what the spoilers said .Means that her mother's accident can be dismissed off with an apology but cannot be dismissed off considering a son may be seperated from his sole custodian mother .😕 THAT is unheard of but the former is not ? So puzzling . What if Shagun gives fake apology . Does Ishita have any way of knowing if apology is fake or genuine .😕

She knew she didn't deserves his bullshit and she wasn't goona tolerate anymore. She told him in the face that she didn't want his 'main mazboor hoon' drama in her life. She warned him to stay away.

I hope the CVs continue to depict her as this strong headed woman and make her win this battle against Raman. I hope they don't show that he's got some master plan to get him out of this mess just because he's the hero, i.e. he's always right in the end. Because we need these kinds of scenes in television. We need scenes that show that just because he's the husband doesn't make him right and it's not your 'wifely duty' to keep up with his bullshits. A woman can be better off on her own. Tonight Ishita became a tigress and she roared with all the unspoken voices of women all around the world who can't stand up to their husbands' injustices. We're with you Ishita. God Speed.

Lovely post 👍🏼 It is in a long time that I too am liking a female lead's characterization on Indian tv ... d thin red line between self-empowerment n self-righteousness is not that blurred here ...
Really loved Ishita today ... Her - " I don' deserve this - n I don't need this - n stay away from me " - was quite cathartic ... n d way she bounced back in d morning was awesome ...

I really hope story follows through on this line n it is Ishita who gets justice for her mother, instead of it turning out to be another of Raman's ploys to trap Shagun ...

I also want her to hold a mirror up to Raman's Dhritarashtra symdrome 😆 ... The guy doesn't seem to have read his Mahabharat well enough 😛 He should be reminded of d end Duryodhan met with, egged on by his father's 'blind love' 😛

Awesome post.

Her "I don't deserve this, I don't need this & stay away from me" was stunning & punch line. Dialogue of the episode. It is great to see serial female lead taking no bullshit and standing firmly for what she believe in inspire of emotional drama by the her husband. The way she took Raman up, her expression s were superb. Also how clinically she left Raman on the floor once Toshji told her let him be there, was just wow! She does not even look at him again but just walked to her room. Like she tried to help him but when he resisted & elderly person told her let it be, she had enough of his tantrums. Just that at least before lawyer came Raman should have been properly taken inside by Romi.

Well said!!👏

I am so relieved to hear that there are others who don't want the "Raman the all knowing maha patidev saves the day with his masterplan".

It's wonderful once or twice but I find it infuriating when it's done again and again as in recent times. (Sharam dance...Mihir's confession) I'veheard Ishita called self riteous but RKB takes the cake.

I love Raman's character...his turn being ishu for a day was perfect.

Of course, if the show continues in the direction of Ishita maintaining her dignity whilst Raman also learns to hold onto his own when it comes to Adi, I'll remain one happy YHM fan.

I was planning to take a break, but at this point I haven't. Please CVs...ab mera bharosa mat todna!

On a side note Toshiji...aap ki jai ho! A full redemption of her character...Saas aisi bhi hoti hai. Not totally blind to their son's failings...few as they are. 😉

From where I see it, asking for the apology is Ishita's way of letting Shagun go with minimal punishment for the sake of Adi. She's also trying to do the right thing for Adi and everyone you know, but unlike Raman, she knows how to do that the correct way and not mess up every relationship you have.

i blame him for the picnic thing but is not this the EXACT same thing he was trying to do ? Adi ke liye ? Only thing is , i am not sure if she is doing it for Adi or coz she believes in concepts like apology . If it is Adi ke liye , is Adi ke liye dependent on an apology that may or may not be heartfelt ? If apology is not given no Adi ke liye is it ?

As i see it , Raman expects no apology coz he knows how hopeless Shagun is ...he is only seeing the practicalities here . What r they ? That if his ex wife goes to jail , his boy may be left with Ashok who is not his dad as courts have found him , the other father , abusive and may never give him the custody . Still don't see how the demand for an apology is the correct way , i see it as naivete . Where he went straight to the root she is going the same way except ghuma fira ke .

I think you missed one thing I wrote in reply. I said, for Adi and everyone else. Ishita's not Adi's mother. You can't expect her to be blind for him. Besides how's lying to your wife and breaking everyone's trust is 'going to the root' approach, I don't understand. Even if Adi's done the accident, Raman could've told her. He's underage hence he'd not get a punishment from court but Raman's still lying.
Whether she believes in apologies is not the point, she's trying to make someone accountable for an accident that could've killed her mother while Raman is trying to save the culprit. The two things are not in any way the same.
