The answer to my 8th riddle is "The Malfoys"

Our's is what we considered to be a noble history,

Self explanatory .. the pure blood Malfoys were proud about their heritage and ancestry & looked down upon everyone else.

But changing times left our position in a mystery.

In the end, their position was indeed a "mystery" since they had openly come out as dark lord's supporters after years of leading a dual life and right after they came out, voldy was finished!..😆.. in the new regime, they were unsure of how everybody was now going to treat them and not the other way around !

Once held high, there was no match for us here,

Self explanatory.

But now we are left to be neither here nor there.

This reminded me of the scene wherein after the final battle at Hogwarts, everybody was cheering and celebrating and the Malfoys just stood there looking like uninvited shunned party guests who made the unfortunate mistake of gatecrashing !..🤣

What we did was what we felt to be nobility,

Yes, according to pure blood freaks like Malfoys , Voldy's motive were noble for the wizarding community..

But ultimately we gave in, that continues to be our reality.

Yup, ultimately in the end the Malfoys were least bothered if voldy wins or not unlike the raging crazy Bellatrix whose devotion to her dark lord was rock solid.

Ans: Severus Snape

I am not nice, but i am not evil

You can't say Snape was nice because he always do partiality among the students, but neither evil because he supported Dumbledore against Voldemort

I can be very pitty, yet very brave

He was bullied in his school years but brave because he's an incredible double agent toeing a line between Dumbledore and Voldemort that no one else can do.

I always have a sarcastic remarks ready for use

He always makes sarcastic remarks on Harry that he's as proudy like his father and once he taunted Sirius about the latter not being able to take an active role in the Order's Missions due to his fugitive status.

I finally attained something

that i've wanted for a long time

Snape finally acquired positions of Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher in Hogwarts that he desired for so long

I will do things that

need to be done,

even terrible things

we can't forget once he was a Death Eaters with his fellow Slytherin mates

I experienced true love, terrible loss

He loved Lily, she was his best friend but lost her because Voldemort killed her.

I can read your mind

but i'll get angry if you read mine.

Dumbledore asked Snape to teach Harry Occulmency (reading minds) in order to shut telepathic connection between Harry and Voldemort but at one point, Harry peeked into the Pensieve when Snape was out of his office and witnessed a private memory of being bullied and harassed by his father. upon returning, Snape threw Harry out of the office and forbade him from ever coming back again. so he don't like reading his own minds
