Great post. You are right, Jalal is more lonely now than he has ever been.

What a wholesome post... Enjoyed reading it...

His was a tough life. But then if life was not tough and if he was not able to still shine, why would we all remember him as 'The Great'
Why would we bother about him and much less his love interest.
As soon as I saw your name, I know I had to read it... kaam kaaj baad mein hota rahega

Kaana thank you so much for guiding me towards this beautiful piece of writing...

you have graphed out Jalal and his growth with such sincerity and depth ..it is like you were there with him while he was growing through these phases

Jalal is like the lotus in murky water...inspite of growing up in deception, politics and ruthlessness he still retained the goodness in him...even if misguided he had a sound mind and kind heart inspite of how many times he denied it

i always feared the truth about his badi ammi coming out only because it would completely destroy him and inspite of all the joy on her downfall ..for his sake i wished if she was buried with her meanest secrets...atleast he will be saved

jodha is like another lotus struggling to survive in this murky water called Agra...and it does not take a good heart long to find and relish another good heart...and a love story to be called epic you cannot have it blossoming under the right condition in good environment and with all the benefits...it becomes epic and deep when you achieve it even if the whole world is conspiring against it,the path is painful, difficult and only the courageous and determined are expected to walk...rest will turn away...that is why inspite of everything he still holds onto his jodha...

thank you so much for bringing out the epic called Jalal in your post...it was just matter of time that people recognized his greatness...

Awesome post, Kaana. You have brought out so well the saga of the poor little rich boy. Since childhood, he has seen people around him trying to get close to him, often also by risking their own Iives. He has seen betrayals of the worst kind by his so called loved ones. Hence he was hiding behind his "no dil" theory so far, which he himself also actually believed in.

Then Jodha arrived. She knocked so loudly on the gates of his dil, that he could not ignore it's presence any longer. But when his own beloved Jodha admitted to "loving" the stranger male captured in her Hojra without revealing that he was her brother, he was so totally devastated, & totally emotionally scarred. What if Sujamal truth had not come out??...what would have happened to Emperor Jalaluddin then?

Now, both have stumbled at the dil's gate entrance 😆, thanks to the barrier of Jodha's ego. Unless this barrier is done away with, this love story cannot proceed. It's high time Jodha accepted her HUGE role in the MU, & apologised for the same.

Jalal has already repented much MORE than his due.
