The TRP audience will never be die hard VD fan that they will rush to see the show the moment they hear he is back. In fact they will never do it for any actor.

Its only when they see part of the show during flicking channels, if they like the story and the actors onscreen they will start watching regularly. That time frame has to be discounted for.

It is my view that this industry is difficult for actors. I think Vivian when he left MB struggled to get another serial, were for DD to leave MB we her fans wish the best for her to get another serial, but were she to quit MB her name and reputation would suffer perhaps that's the reason Drashti is saying this in interviews now. 2014, Star Plus remained the outright
leader with another huge
performance. It added 15 million
viewers to its gross viewership. It
delivered 702 TVM with a relative
share of 27.26% (last week 687 TVM
with 26.34% relative share).
In second place was Colors with 454
GVTM with a relative share of 17.63%
(last week 454 TVM with 17.41%
relative share).
ZEE TV tumbled down to third -
losing viewership for the second
consecutive week. It delivered 425
GVTM with share of 16.50% (last week
461 TVM with 17.68% relative share).
Star Life Ok did well with 384 GVTM
and relative share of 14.91% (last
week 371 TVM and 14.23%).
Sony Entertainment Television Asia
stayed firm in fifth - but lost 50
million TVT since last week. It raked
in 312 GVTM and a relative share of
12.12% (last week 362 TVM and
13.88% relative share).
Sony SAB TV remained in sixth with
298 GVTM. It's relative share grew to
11.57% (last week 273 TVM and
10.47% relative share).
