i dont think producers make it a point to cast actors actresses who know each other

in films..they would cast one, then look for the other...and sometimes its actors

who dont 'know' know each other.

like ranbir was cast first for rockstar and then imtiaz hunted for n found nargis

so technically ranbir wouldnt 'know' nargis.😕

what is the point of saying i dont know suriya. At 32 years, 13 of them in the

film industry giving interviews, and still not able to talk correctly?

More than the fact that her name is being associated with a South Indian venture, I think the bigger annoyance for her is that there also she is being linked with an item number😆

he is ALWAYS featured in south awards segments in filmfare, etc.

and i refuse to believe KKK doesnt subscribe to it, but i guess she

was meaning she doesnt know him on aqcuaintance terms, which is

sounding strange..a co star is not required to know their co star.

maybe she shouldve left it at ' ive never met Suriya'. that sounds

okay.

She is right on point of language. Its not possible for everyone to act in language which they dont know. Katty is good example. Not able to give even single expression as she has no idea whats going on and not able to understand most of her kines.

Is this a statement or was she asked about this and these were her actual words. 😕. If it is a prepared statement terrible choice of words, if they are her words I am surprised as she has her phone attached to her constantly and she is doing Singham 2. Won't plain curiosity cause her to google ? She is supposed to be this collector of gossip, so obviously she has healthy curiosity, but evidently not enough to google about Singham which would have then lead her straight to who Surya is 😆

The article about her south item number was a JOKE
And it had a fake direct statement from the director saying "We convinced Bebo to sign our movie, its her south debut"
(seemed legit)

In other words, Kareenas clearly pissed that she got trolled 😆

It's perfectly fine not to know someone, but there is a manner in how to address that. What's makes the matter worse if she says she watches South Indian movies so that's why I'm so iffy on. It's like I don't know every French actor except for Jean or Marion but if I was an actress and got an offer in a French movie opposite some big hero there, my first reaction wouldn't be, "I don't who so and so is?" Like do you research. Or don't speak at all. Don't say things like I only watch HW movies and then act like you watch regional cinema too.

I mean I rather she be truthful than portray herself in this hypocritical light. Also, there is a sense of igorance around, which I don't quite like. It's fine if you're young, but she's a 30+ something ACTRESS. Professionally, it's your job to know what's going on your field and who the big players are. I don't think she's an idiot, but she sure comes off as one when she isn't articulate. And it's a lot harder to give Kareena the benefit of the doubt with her past history, but when then I would. I don't think her intention were wrong, she just addressed in a somewhat demeaning way. Just be respectful...that's basically my only issue.

As for the not doing non-Hindi cinema. That's her choice, don't feel like we need to tear her apart for it. Unfortunately, today's Kareena isn't the same one that took a risk and did Chameli, Dev, Yuva, Omkara, etc. I wish she did but if she doesn't want to it's fine too. But I do get the feeling that she likes to play it safe even thoug she has the talent to do much riskier roles that she has of recent.

Well, if she is working in singham 2 atleast she should have done some homework about the role n who actually started in the original... ? n to think that she doesn't know surya who is one of the highest paid actor in the country itself (30 cr or so for his upcoming film or so i read on net) n a superstar to boot with even overseas market ...it seems rather far fetched that she hasn't even heard his name ...

Amazingly well said. She doesnt have to know who he is and I personally think that's bullshit for someone who is in this industry, but yes, even if she doesnt know who he is, she could have been a lot less ignorant and silly in her reply. "I'm not quite sure who the actor / director is, because I havent even met him, so these rumors are just that."

See the difference? Huge in manner, tone and respect.

It turns me off when you're out of your 20s and you still persist in being stupid and ignorant. I cringed when I saw her on KWK with Saif and she was all incredulous that he likes reading. Yes Kareena, books are one way in which people learn more about the world. She's really like a teenager in mindset and personality and it's really not attractive. I think Saif is very overrated and I really dont like his personality but I often wonder what they talk about. He comes across as so worldly and knowledgeable and she really revels in being stupid. I dont get it at all.

I don't think that she realized that it was a April' Fool's day joke. Main reason is that other papers carried the news on subsequent days without crediting the original and Mumbai papers got the news from the subsequent writings😆
