Nice and much needed post ... Agree!!
Retarded and cripple --- these words were used when most people were illiterate about disabilities. Now its rude and offensive to use them. Hope atleast people , all categories, in this forum are intelligent enough to realise this.

In Canada its termed as Mental Health issues.

But remember this is an Indian show and and Indian Forum, so till the term is changed in India, anyone can use it.

I'm very much aware that this is an Indian show, but I know our IF friends are very intelligents and knows how to respect. But still if someone like to insult those unfortunate people who can stop them. It's their choice of choosing to insult the unfortunate or not.

Does this will stop them. Just because VD is not playing egoistic, proudy person he is not oood and his character will be declared as retarted and weak. All they wanted is to satisfy their ego to prove that only RK works and nothing else. Even I feel very angry when they call him weak character and retarted because he is none than this. He may be not like Rishabh Kundra but he is not even less than him. And above everything he is doing great role. But nothing will stop them. Neither they will enjoy themselves nor they will let us enjoy. I call him sweetypie because he is very sweet pure heart soul and he is much better than any fit person from heart.

Thanks Tru. Do not use the R word period. Neither for reel character nor for real person.

This R word is banned in several states in USA and now in Canada too. We need to "Spread the word to stop the Word", and that was the slogan for special Olympics this year.

I know Shahi. I cannot stop anyone from hurting an unfortunate person, but trying to raise an awareness not to use the word Retard because this a very hateful, insulting, offensive word with derogatory nature, already banned in few states of America and in Canada too.

I know in India or some country like India, this word is very common, but now it is time to raise the awareness in those countries too.

The diagnostic term 'mental retardation' is finally being eliminated in the upcoming international classifications of diseases and disorders. and change to Intellectual Disability (ID)
