Not only its a great idea but you've written it very well too. There was a certain anticipation and flutter because of the incidents you chose, the perspective and because of the people in love being thought about. Loved it!!

What an interesting idea...Loved Shashi's POV, though he could not speak, he was able to read their eyes and knew something was there. Great start...can't wait to see how the others knew!

When HP/JP/OP Knew

Hari Prakash, Om Prakash, and Jai Prakash were hired by Arnav Singh Raizada at the very beginning. Frustrated by the amount of work his beloved Di and Nani were doing, he hired the trio of brothers off the street to reduce the workload upon receiving his first paycheck.

Since then, HP, JP, and OP had remained loyal to the Raizadas. Arnav had taken them out of poverty and given them a life, and they were forever indebted to him for that. They held a deep respect for Nani and Di, whom they considered to be their own family. Having no family of their own, the brothers doted upon the entire family as if they were their own.

As a result, the trio had gotten used to the sharp barks of their Arnav Bhaiyya. Every morning, without fail, Arnav would yell for coffee and one of the brothers would bring it up to him. Black, hot, and no sugar.

They were not to go near his plants. No one was to go near his plants- not even his Di. His constantly sour demeanor was dutifully taken, no matter how many insults he hurled at the trio. They served him with efficiency, knowing that while he didn't express it, he appreciated them. Somewhere inside.

They adored Arnav Bhaiyya, they really did. But sometimes, they wished someone was there to quiet him down and take the insults away from them.

-***-

When Khushi Bhabhi first entered Shantivan, HP, OP, and JP felt nothing but pity for her. The poor girl was subjected to every insult from Arnav. They were grateful to her for removing the insults from flying their way, but they pitied her.

As the days passed, the pity grew into a grudging admiration. Khushi Bhabhi was able to do what no one else dared do, besides Anjali Di- she argued with Arnav Bhaiyya. Every single day, their rancorous yelling could be heard across the halls of Shantivan, as Khushi blatantly defied Arnav's orders.

Slowly, HP, OP, and JP, observed as Arnav Bhaiyya softened. He said thank you in the mornings when they brought coffee. He didn't yell at them for watering his plants incorrectly when he was away.

-***-

The day Khushi came into the house with Arnav's mangal sutra resting against her skin, everything changed once again. The trio cowered as they noticed the familiar stiffness make its way back into Arnav's back, the harsh, cold eyes glowering down on his family as he stood next to his wife.

That night, Om Prakash realized. He knew something had gone wrong, something big. He had seen Shyam talking to Khushi, he had heard everything. But he did not say a word. He did not expect it to escalate this high.

His guilt weighing him down, Om Prakash made his way down to the poolside with Arnav's coffee, despite the fact that it was almost midnight. He knew Arnav would need coffee after the tumult of the wedding, and would be tapping away furiously at his laptop.

When he came to the doors, Om Prakash came to a freezing stop. Khushi Bhabhi sat outside by the pool, shivering in her ornate lehenga and resting her head on top of her knees. Her face was streaked with the remnants of tears, the once brilliant eyes closed in exhaustion. Her meticulously applied kajal trailed down her cheeks, her bangles laying broken on the ground.

But that was not what shocked him.

What shocked Om Prakash was Arnav Bhaiyya.

Arnav stood there, his imposing figure clad in an orange sweater. The stiffness in his back was gone, replaced with a resigned grief. He looked haggard and old, a man completely devastated by the betrayal of his love. His chocolate eyes were completely devoid of the previous anger and steel, with only sadness and a painful longing reflected in them as he stared out at the poolside. His gaze rested on the woman sitting out by the poolside, a twinge of regret painted on his face.

Om Prakash bowed out softly, padding away with the now cold cup of coffee. His newfound knowledge reflected the deep emotions Arnav Bhaiyya felt for Khushi Bhabhi. He would have to make an extra attempt to be nice to Khushi Bhabhi until this mess was sorted out.

-***-

Hari Prakash noticed the change in the air after Shyam was kicked out. Gone was the tension in Arnav's eyes, the hardened emotion wracked with the effort it took to ignore his wife. Instead, Hari Prakash witnessed an entirely unprecedented change in his boss.

Not even before Payal Bhabhi's wedding was his boss this affectionate. On Khushi Bhabhi's birthday, Arnav Bhaiyya was especially irritated at the fact that he had forgotten. All day, Hari Prakash and his two brothers had put up lights meticulously around the poolside, going out to buy the best chocolate cake for their Bhabhi. But she wasn't swayed.

Hari Prakash knew that Arnav had made a terrible, terrible miscalculation in marrying Khushi. But in Hari Prakash's opinion, it was the best miscalculation Arnav had ever made. Which is why Hari Prakash was going out of his way to get his beloved Khushi Bhabhi to forgive Arnav Bhaiyya.

Unfortunately for Hari Prakash, he had a knack for walking in on awkward moments. When Nani sent him up to grab Arnav and Khushi, he hadn't expected them to be in... That position. Given the silent treatment Khushi was giving Arnav, he fully expected them to be at each other's throats.

Upon arriving at the door, however, poor Hari Prakash was made privy to a moment between husband and wife. Arnav was leaning gently in, tilting his head towards Khushi's as he bent down to press his lips against hers. HP could practically feel the atmosphere crackle with their unresolved tension. He saw Khushi Bhabhi squeeze her eyes shut tightly, relaxing into Arnav's grip.

Unwilling to intrude on this private moment, HP turned around when he heard Nani reminding him to call the pair down. Gritting his teeth, he stepped into the room, watching as Khushi froze and stiffened in Arnav's grip, clearly mortified. Arnav was unwilling to let her go, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her flush against him, completely ignoring her struggles.

Hari Prakash passed on the message and left as swiftly as possible, realizing that their feelings ran a lot deeper than either of them were willing to admit.

-***-

"Jai Prakash! Could you please call Chote and Khushiji down? God knows what they're arguing about now. Do let them know breakfast is ready." Anjali Di's voice floated out to Jai Prakash. Dutifully, he obeyed Anjali's request, slipping up towards Arnav and Khushi's private area.

It had been a year since their remarriage, and Arnav and Khushi were as happy as ever. They still argued. Every morning, Arnav would bang on the door, yelling at Khushi to get out of the bathroom, and every morning, she would shamelessly taunt him back. Aarav, Nani, and Di would sit at the breakfast table and roll their eyes at the clearly love struck couple, watching as Khushi served Arnav quietly before he would grab her and force her to sit.

Jai Prakash rarely heard Arnav's yell. Instead, in the mornings, Khushi Bhabhi would come downstairs, carefully preparing a cup of coffee and taking it up to their room.

But this morning, Khushi Bhabhi had not come down. And neither had Arnav Bhaiyya. The familiar arguing over the bathroom was not there. Jai Prakash carefully balanced the cup and walked up to their room when he blanched and nearly dropped the cup.

Coming from inside was soft moans of pleasure, the gentle sounds of love muffled behind the door. He could hear as Arnav gave the utmost pleasure to his wife, her quiet cries covered by Arnav himself.

Jai Prakash's face grew hot as he stood there, unable to move as he held the cup of coffee in his hands. He could hear the sounds of the cloth falling to the floor as the buttons scattered, the teasing voice of Khushi seductively making its way through the thin walls. Her laughter quickly changed into gasps of ecstasy, clearly enjoying Arnav's ministrations.

Jai Prakash hastily scuttled downstairs, heaving an embarrassed sigh of relief as he allowed the coffee to clatter into the sink.

Half an hour later, a thoroughly mussed Arnav and a blushing Khushi made their way to the breakfast table pointedly avoiding the knowing gazes of their family.

The three brothers stood silently behind them, watching as Arnav tugged his flustered wife down beside him and began to eat. All was well until the youngest member of the family piped up.

"Mom, what's that on your neck?"

Jai Prakash was armed with the knowledge that he wished he didn't have. He glimpsed a mischievous, adoring gaze from Arnav directed at his wife, and smiled quietly. Sometimes, a little embarrassment was worth the reward of seeing his family happy.

A/N: This one is for Drool Di, who inspired my gutter thoughts that appear towards the ending. Granted, they are much more... ahem, tamed.
