Hello EBI fans

Initially shown as the epitome of snobbery. Cold, selfish and heartless😡... Keeping her children at arms length... Nirmala never paid any attention to MJ as she thought he was an orphan, but the same time her biological children also never got any affection from her while growing up and Adi himself was shown to complain that they were brought up by servants. Vasu was always told to sanitise her hands and thats the extend of care she has ever shown to get from her mother.

Nirmala is only shown to care for the adult Adi and wants him to be the owner of the entire wealth for which she is ready to act against the adopted son, whom her husband loves so much and is ready to go to any extent to achieve her objective, even forcing him to keep away from his wife. The only time she shows some affection to MJ in his adult life is after he slaps ADi for being rude to her that too lasts only a short while. When Adi is in trouble, she emotionally blackmails MJ to confess to the crime and is even awaiting his sentence so that Adi is finally safe. Even after knowing that MJ was innocent she sacrifices him when RP threatens her about ADI and revealing her secret. A mom totally different from any other moms in Indian serials shown so far.
A good mother???? definitely not.

Then she is suddenly shown to have sprouted the eternal spring of love for MJ and to an extend sympathy for thara. How come? This is totally against the grain of the character. It can be argued that circumstances had forced her to act cold , but then how do we explain the sudden change? 😕 Agreed she now knows that MJ was/ is after all her own son...but can a mother love only her biological child?😲

Mind you, nothing about MJ changed. He was a sweet and obedient son before also and loved her all the same in spite of her hatred. Her sudden change of mind, and show of affection now...does it redeem her character as a mother ?-------To me it does not😲. It also shows poor characterisation on part of CVs . not just her...most of the other characters except our royal three MJ, Thara and kallo ...are mostly caricatures and their actions without reasoning.🤢 Well more abt that in another post...

bye

I wouldn't call it a sudden change of heart. It's more of a much needed change of heart. Nirmala is rather narrow minded and the only reason she feels sorry now is because he is her own flesh and blood. Had MJ not been her son, she wouldn't have felt bad at all...he was inferior blood to her. So technically they're on point with Nirmala's character. Despite being a cold and unforgiving person, she has shown to love her own children so when she found out that MJ is her son, that love that has been dormant for so long has been awaken.

Naah! She cannot b redeemed at all in my eyes! Being a mother she has not at all loved her biological children as a mother should. After knowing about MJ she had suddenly changed her perception of him to a certain extent but not much because she kept quiet about knowing the truth about RP even when he was being taken to jail.

After the news of his death came, she did behave very strangely, not at all like what a mother would, which gave us hopes that she may have had a hand in saving him. But now we're back to square one. She seems to have completely forgotten MJ's existence never mind that he's dead.

At the end of the day, she has not only not stood up for nor comforted her daughter-in-law even after knowing that her biological son was killed. The bottom line is that she is a selfish mother who only cares for herself and wants to keep herself safe lest her secret come out.

Precisely they haven't changed her completely. She's still selfish and more concerned about her secret.

I think nimmy was always someone who cared about saving her own than others. It's true she didn't take care of adi bent during childhood. But I wonder whether rp had a hand in that also maybe he told her to act high society people by going to parties and all in this she ignored her children and it made rp to have better influence on them.
Nimmy is not entirely good or bad. She does care for her own but she loves herself the most. Many people have that attitude even in real life. They love themselves most than others. But at the same time she care for her dear ones also like how she is taking care of ts and is worried about his health.
But even after knowing MJ is her son she hasn't done anything to prove him innocent. Maybe she doesn't want to produce the pics in fear that if she expose rp he will reveal her secret to ts. I do hope she does something that will make up for the pain she caused MJ.

Nice points... these are valid questions... but I feel after coming to SM... Nimmi started loosing her own self... she became more selfish & cunning... all thanks to RP's manipulations... still she can't be redeemed till she does something good for her own children... & discovering the fact that MJ is her own child is path towards re-discovering herself once again... So I feel she's going to play a major role in future... but her redemption won't be so easy...

i always find her character being delusional... or in a lots of folds...
may be RP programmed her initial days in mansion as a new bride and programmed her luxury life with high society so that changes her lot... but that's true in this world that blood relations are more imp than feelings thats what nimmi shows us till now

Forget MJ, she has not even given love and affection to Adi and Vasu!!!!!😳 😳 😳 😳

Even after knowing that MJ is her biological son, she has done nothing!!!!🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔

She has neither stood up for nor comforted her daughter-in-law who is the only thing left of her son!!!!!👎🏼 👎🏼 👎🏼 👎🏼

She only cares for herself and wants to keep her secret safe and that is why she didn't even reveal the photographs!!!!!😒 😒 😒 😒 😒 😒
