Jai hugged Bani as they sat on the sand. "Sorry," Jai whispered, kissing her forehead. Bani glared at him and her anger melted away slowly as she started into his big muddy eyes. "Come on don't tell me you are still angry," Jai sighed deeply. "Well I wasn't that mad until you threw me into the water which made me more upset," she said turning her head away. "I guess that didn't cool you down, so now I use plan B," Jai smiled cutely as he started to tickle Bani. "No Jai don't," Bani giggled while she squirmed in his arms. "Than tell me you forgave me," Jai said politely.
"Okay fine forgiven," Bani finally replied. "Good," Jai exclaimed happily as he bit her earlobe gently. He started to kiss her gently along her collarbone as she shivered against his bare skin. She gasped feeling his lips move downwards. "Jai, what if someone sees?" Bani said catching her breath. "Don't worry everyone is swimming except Rashi and Ranveer who is sitting far away from us," Jai said quickly between kisses. Before Bani could say anything more Jai took her lips into his. The soft sensual kiss turned into a passionate one after a while as things started to heat up. Bani could feel Jai's hands on her back as his chest pressed against her.
She moaned slightly as he held her tighter. Bani's found her hands in his hair, touching his black wet hair. They heard voices near them so they quickly broke apart. Tarun and Sahil approached them as they just got out from the water. "What are you guys doing here away from everyone else?" Tarun questioned curiously. "I don't think we want to know," Sahil laughed as he saw both Jai and Bani's red faces. "Shut up," Jai said shooting Sahil a dirty look. "Okay you two, don't start again, especially you Sahil. Now what say we play some volleyball huh?" Tarun said.
"Sounds great," Jai replied standing up as he stretched his muscles. Bani also stood up as Jai pulled her up. They all walked to the net that had been set up by Ranveer who was also going to play. The girls sat on the blanket while the guys played volleyball. Bani laughed as the girls made jokes but from the corner of her eye she watched Jai play. He changed into his khaki cream shorts that hung down to his knees. When he jumped to spike the ball the white band of his boxers were visible and he tied a red bandana to pull back his hair so it didn't come in front of his eyes since his hair was wet.
His chest was bare same as the other men. Bani broke out of her thoughts as she heard Rano's voice. "Huh," Bani asked as the girls stared at her as if they were waiting for her answer. "Never mind, it seems your lost thinking about someone," Laxmi laughed looking at Jai. The other girls laughed while Bani blushed and tried to look somewhere else but Jai. They boys came back after their game and they all ate lunch. It started to get darker as the sun went down so they started to pack up. Jai dropped the stuff in the car and as he came back to the beach he saw Bani gazing at the sky.
"You are here and everyone is seated in the car, come on lets go," Jai said creeping up behind Bani. Bani looked up at Jai and smiled, "Jai do you want to marry me?" Jai was surprised since the question came out of the blue. "What," Jai asked in confusion. "Do you want to marry me or not?" Bani repeated. Just than Rashi showed up and told them to hurry up. "Seems like these pregnancy hormones are acting up again," Jai laughed whispering to Bani as they followed behind Rashi. "I heard that," Rashi snapped. "Sorry," Jai chuckled. Bani sighed as it seemed like the 100th time Jai ignored the marriage question.
After everyone returned home, Jai took a quick shower. Jai laid on the bed and closed his eyes. He drifted off and fell asleep after a couple of minutes.
A young teenager held his mother's hand as she laid on her bed, breathing her last breathes before leaving the world permanently. "Jai don't cry, remember I will always love you, Sahil and Ranveer," she smiled wearily. Her head slightly fell back a few seconds later. "Mom," Jai choked on his tears.
His mom was no more and he held her hand as he sobbed. Hours later everyone arrived at the Walia Mansion to grieve the death of Jai's mom, just one person was missing, Uday Walia. Jai angrily stomped into his office pushing everyone aside who tried to stop him. He opened the door to see his father flirting with his secretary who was seated on his lap.
"Jai you here?" Uday was shocked to see his son catching him in this way. "Yeah, I wanted to inform you that your wife just passed away. I thought I would let you know personally, since you were too busy to pick up my phone calls," Jai said coldly. Uday stood up and tried to put a hand on Jai's shoulder but he shrugged it off. "Don't try to sympathize with me, you never cared when she was alive so you must happy she is dead now at least a burden is off you," Jai seethed with anger as he walked off slamming the door in his face.
Jai woke up all sweaty. He went to the bathroom to splash cold water on his face. He breathed heavily as he recalled the bad dream. He looked himself in the mirror and thought, even after so many years I still think about it, when I try to forget, it always comes up again haunting me. He went back to bed but this time he couldn't fall asleep.
