i explained in another theory of mine that Avada kedavra curse can easily be blocked.

it is a simple matter of conjuration , all u'll hav to do is to conjure a solid object in the line of the curse direction , so when the curse hits the object, it'll rather burn and destroy , leaving the conjurer safe

harry said crucio but it still did hurt, though not as much as when she used the curse. according to the imposter moody the unforgivable curses require powerful bit of magic behind them. and harry without doubt is a powerful wizard.

the how does voldemort uses the crucio curse ?

if we read the HBP book carefully, we'd realize that voldemort doesnt truely loves or hates anything , he is a 100% narcissist, and nothing else in the world matters to him. it is true that he is annoyed, irritated , pleased on something or someone at moments , but i dont think he has neither the power of love or hatred to fuel his curses.

He has hatred....n only hatred in him...plus he does have pleasure...but pleasure for him i killing or torturing ppl....he's a masochist or somethng like that...u know a person who loves inflicting pain on others!

If he has nothing....no hatred or power...then ask the victims of his curses...they'll tell you how his curses....esp the Unforgivables work so well๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

So his curses do work...๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

i still dont think neither hatred or love fuels a spell ...

it is the old 3D : determination , desperation and deliberation

1. in the chapter dudley demented in OOTP , harry worked the lumos spell even when he wasnot holding the want in a dire need situation.

2. at POA , harry worked out the patronus charm because he was absolutely sure that he'd be able to do it.

magic connects the mind of the spell caster more than anything . we dont see neville good at studies, mainly because his lack of confidence. it is because he lacks the willpower and 3d to work out a spell .

moody crucioed a spider , but does he hate it ? no , it was because he strongly wished to use the curse so that he can show it to the students .

Emotions do play a role in how a spell is cast. It wasn't moody but Barty Crouch Jr. and i doubt he didn't want to kill the spider

And anyways...even in canon...Bellatrix says in OotP to Harry,
"You need to want to cause pain, boy. And not simply righteous anger." Now wanting to cause pain and deriving pleasure from it is an emotion in itself right?

Plus, how much emotion you put in any spell does count...remember the Trio in the Shrieking shack? all three were charged up and so, even with a simple expelliarmus, not only disarmed snape but also blasted him back into the door

And the same goes for Snape in HBP when he killed Dumbledore...DD was blasted over the parapet and intot eh grounds because of the force of the spell...and the spell was powerful bcoz Snape put so much emotion in it...

"Hatred was etched on his face," yadda yadda
