Arjun had an unusual fluttering in his heart as he drove through the lanes of Shimla. It had not happened before. He attributed it to him being anxious, about daadi and Arohi. Hope Daadi forgives him for not being there anytime she wanted. It had always been Sanchit Ahluwalia. But not anymore. Now his priorities have changed. He has to find Arohi, convince her, tell everything to Daadi. He will keep them both happy. He entered the gates of his mansion. He had come home. He will bring Arohi home. Make her the queen of his palace. He was suddenly filled with hope. Hope that Arohi will forgive him and love him like before. It has to be this place he thought as he walked up the steps to the front door. The place that his parents had nurtured with love and affection. This place had to give him hope. He just imagined how it would be to have Arohi beside him while he rang the bell and imagined Daadi's face seeing them both. A smile crept up just imagining her face.

Dhondu who opened the door opened his mouth as well upon seeing his ever droopy master actually having a pleasant smile on his face. "What's up Dhondu?" Arjun asked patting Dhondu's shoulder, sending him to second series of shock. "main main main theek hu sir" "good. can you get me a cup of strong coffee. I will be in daadi's room. By the way you are looking smart" he said as he walked towards daadi's room. Dhondu peeped outside to make sure the sun was setting on the right side. If it didn't then there was a valid reason and he would understand.

"I am sorry Daadi" he said for the fifth time. "Take your sorry back to your Delhi. Why are you here? who is there here for you? who am I? Just an old woman who is ready to leave this world anytime. What will I do being here anyway? who is there for me? There is one grandson who has no time for me? go back to your work. keep going behind your only aim in life. be alone and leave me alone" she sniffed and wiped her eyes with the end of her saree. Arjun held her hand tight "I wont be alone anymore daadi. I won't leave you alone either. Just give me some more time, just a little more, I will tell you everything, I am there for you daadi and you have to here for me" he did not have tears nor did his voice choke, but his face said that he meant it. "come back puttar" daadi made her plea one more time "I will daadi I will, and this time I will fulfill all your wishes"

Meanwhile in the kitchen, Arohi made the last set of rotis and checked on the simmering sabzi. Dhondu came in just then. "Everything is done dhondu. Now all you have to do is taste it and add if anything is missing" "Nothing will be missing didi, it is you who made it. You are perfect", Arohi smiled at his genuine praise. He set out to make coffee and touched the hot pot burning the tip of his finger. "are you ok?" Arohi asked with concern then stopped him as he continued to reach for the coffee pot. "What are you doing" she asked. "Sir has come home didi, he is with daadi, he is asking for strong coffee" "Daadi's grandson is here?" she asked "Yes" "oh. I did not know he was coming" she said then added "Ok let me make the coffee" she quickly prepared the coffee, as strong as Arjun might have expected, Keeping the mug in the tray with some snacks she handed it to dhondu. When he was walking out she called him "Dhondu, I dont want to disturb them today, also I am tired, I will have my dinner in my room. Please tell daadi I will talk to her tomorrow. you remember right what all she has to take before and after dinner" "haan didi" dhondu nodded and left. Arohi sighed. She knew how much daadi craved to see her grandson. Now when he is here, they should have their time alone. She served her plate and quietly went to her room. Which was next to Arjun's, ofcourse.

The smell of coffee made him sit upright. Arohi he whispered. Looking at the tray the way the mug was closed with a tiny lid, the snacks next to it, reminded him of Arohi. The hope, the happiness of seeing daadi the emotional state he was in was intensified just by a mere mug of coffee. He took a sip and he knew this was what he wanted. "you never made like this before Dhondu" he wanted to appreciate him for making something as close to what Arohi would make. Dhondu grinned, Ruhi didi's cooking got to his sir also "Ruhi madam made this sir, not me" he said still grinning. "oh! I have another reason to thank her then" he said with sincere eyes. "Where is she dhondu. Can you please ask her to come here. I want to introduce her to Arjun" daadi said "She went to her room daadi, she will have dinner there, she is tired, she will talk to you tomorrow. She asked me to remind you to take your medicines before and after dinner. she made roti and sabzi" he said making sure he told everything she asked him to. "Accha, theek hai, Arjun you have to thank her tomorrow, she took such good care of me" "I will daadi" Arjun said.

At dinner Arohi's memories intensified. It was like Arohi herself had made these, it was that much close in resemblance and taste. He just wanted to be alone. He wanted to find a crystal ball and see where Arohi is, go on a magic carpet to where ever she is. He would kiss and make up. He will win her over. He could not eat anymore. After making sure Daadi ate well and had her medicine, he went back to his room.

There it was again the unusual dhak dhak in his heart as he approached his room. The room he has gone in and out umpteen times, but never once did he have this feeling. It must be the coffee and the dinner. It has made him more restless and eager to meet Arohi. Tomorrow after visiting his office and making sure things are running smooth, he should go back to delhi. He had hired a detective agency to search for her, they must have had found out something. He knew she was alright because Shefali definitely knew where she was which means she is in a good place.

As he slept he heard a low humming, he strained his ears, the voice was coming from the room next door, the room that was on the other side of the connecting door. The same voice, like Arohi's. It must be Ruhi. She must be staying in the room next to his. The thought made him settle down. All these similarities were giving him hope that he will find Arohi soon. He slept peacefully.

"Tu jidhar ka rukh karega mera saaya sath hoga...Tu jahan jahan chalega mera saaya... mera saaya... mera saaya sath hoogaaa" Arohi hummed as she prepared to go to bed. Her favorite song, that she had stopped singing, now suddenly popped up and she could not help herself but sing. "Damn it Arjun" she said with tears in her eyes. Sleep hardly came to her.

Her lullaby had to put him such deep sleep that he woke up very late. By then Arohi had left. He called Jay asking if there was any news from the agency. Then he went to check on Daadi. His arrival had given her new strength, she was walking about the house supervising what everyone was doing. "Uth gaya" she asked lovingly "you must have been very tired. Why do you work so much?". Breakfast also tasted very familiar. "Ruhi made it" daadi said "She is such a nice girl, I was lucky to find her, so adorable" "I have to thank her daadi, where is she, can I meet her" "She works in Rudra's office, she had to leave early today, I will make you both meet at dinner" "Daadi" he hesitated "daadi actually I have to leave this evening, I will come back soon I promise" "that is what you say every time" she said losing all the strength she had gained "You leave like this because there is nothing strong binding you here. If you were married and you had a wife and kids you won't be moving from this place right? Such a big house, for what? No laughter of kids, no running around, I will never see that day probably" she wiped her eyes "daadi I promise I will listen to you once I come back, in fact you will see how much I have changed when I am back this time" "No you are not going anywhere this time" she said in a defiant voice. At the same time Arjun sipped his coffee. Not finding it as tasty as yesterday, he got irritated "All I needed was a cup of strong coffee like yesterday" he muttered getting up pushing back his chair "Daadi please. I have to go, I have to find someone and it is very very important that I leave as early as possible" he left from there.

Daadi did not hear anything past all I wanted was a strong cup of coffee like yesterday, what Arjun wanted, Ruhi had made. The thought process synchronized , Arjun - Ruhi - Strong coffee - bond - settle. Daadi ki dimak ki batti lit up really severely. "Arjun" she called out "You will really listen to what I say this time?" "yes" came the reply. He thought daadi's wish would be that he stays in Shimla, and once he is back with Arohi, this is where they will be. If he knew Daadi's brilliant idea of hooking him up with Ruhi, he would have never said yes. Arjun left town that evening without meeting Ruhi.

Daadi wanted to find out more about Ruhi Walia. She made her sit down one evening and started asking questions. Arohi told mostly the truth. Her family Walia's were in mumbai, she was her grand father's pet. Everyone in her family loved her. "Then why were you here in Shimla in Sinha's house" daadi asked. Arohi hesitated. "You can tell me Ruhi. I am like your own grand mother" Arohi smiled at the affection "I had to find a path for myself, I wanted to be alone, I wanted to forget someone" Daadi's understood it was related to a man. "Did someone hurt you?" she asked "yes" said Arohi in a low voice. "Is he still in your life" daadi asked her "not right now" "will he come back in your life? do you want him back" "No" said Arohi in an uncertain voice. Daadi did not want to ask her anymore. She did not bring up Arjun's name thinking it was not good time to talk when Arohi is remembering her pain. She had to give it some time.

For her plan to work Arjun should be here and for him to be here she had to act. She put her plan into action immediately. She fell sick mysteriously. Dhondu called Arjun almost crying, he was not able to see his badi malkin so weak and sick. Arohi was upset seeing daadi's ill health. She could not see the always smiling and healthy daadi all frail and weak. She took days off from work and stayed home. Arjun headed back to Shimla. Just when he was leaving he got a call from their Agency. They were very close to finding Arohi's whereabouts and they would have an answer in a week. Arjun reached Shimla. He wasn't aware that this time he won't be leaving that town any sooner, not with his own will of course.

When he came inside the house, he thought he was dreaming or imagining. It felt like Arohi was going up the stairs. The same gait, same height, same frame, how is it possible. He chided himself, he is so immersed in her that whomever he sees he thinks it is her. "who is that Dhondu" he asked dhondu "Ruhi didi" "oh!". He went to talk to daadi. Daadi who was about to eat a Paratha dhondu had supplied upon request, dropped it back in the plate and pushed the plate away "I don't want anything". Arjun dropped his bag to the side and tried to feed her. She pushed his hand away "I don't want to see your fake love" even daadi thinks his is fake love? he thought sadly. "Trust me daadi, I am done with fake love, anything from now on is real" the hurt in his eyes and voice made her regret, but it would be too easy to give in. "why don't you prove it by doing what I ask" "what is it that you ask" "I want you to get married before I die" she held a hand on her chest and squeezed her eyes in pain. If she had done this a day before he had left for Mumbai in search of Sanchit, may be he would have said yes, but now Daadi was too late. "you will see me married daadi, but I won't get married" he said. "what does that mean" she asked. "I will tell you soon" he started to leave. "that is it? you are leaving. okay go. unlike you there are people who actually care for me" "I may not express it properly daadi, and you know I can't, I am not wired to be openly affectionate, but you know you are all I have and I am all you have and we love and care for each other. Is that not enough" "it is not enough Arjun, for you it is not enough, you need more" "Trust me daadi I am going find that also" "and when you find" "when I find daadi" his voice trembled " I will never let go, and then you will see a different Arjun, here with you forever" Daadi could not believe the trembling tone, the anguish and an unusual hope she witnessed in Arjun while he said it. "Is everything all right?" she asked. "No" he said walking out before daadi can see his teary eyes.

Daadi's intention became more strong. Two sad people, Ruhi and Arjun, they can fill each other's life with happiness. They both need a companion. She will first talk to Ruhi and then to Arjun and then convince them both. "Dhondu where is he" daadi asked him when he was juicing some oranges. Arohi sat next to daadi. "In his study daadi" "he did not come down since morning" "no" "he is here only physically but his mind and heart are on his work" daadi sighed. "did you meet him" she asked arohi "No not yet" she replied "but I will meet him and talk to him". She had to talk to this grand son and how his presence is important for daadi.
