Part 15
It had been two weeks since Arnav brought Khushi with him.Arnav's hallucinations were getting worse and worse by each passing second,minute,hour,and day.He felt like he was going mad.Crazy.He could only think of her.Khushi.His and Khushi's relationship progressed successfully to a nice comfortably friendship level.Though every time he saw Khushi,his hallucinations would get worse if possible.It was only at night he got peace and too when he had Khushi in his arms,which she didn't mind at all.He would still have dreams of her and him at night but he didn't mind as long that nightmare didn't come.Every passing day Arnav felt his control slipping from his mind and he felt like going mad.
One day Arnav was in the conference room,watching a presentation.Suddenly his vision blurred.He blinked a few times and sighed when his vision went back to normal.He looked back at the projector screen and froze.His eyes widened as he saw himself and Khushi in a very intimate position doing things only a wedded couple should be doing "WHAT THE HELL" he swore loudly,standing up and slamming his fist on the table "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT" he roared.
"T-The s-s-s-sta-statis-tics" stammered the presenter.
Arnav looked at him confused and looked at the screen.It was true.Only the statistics of the company was on the screen.He ran a hand through his hair,frustrated "Get out" he said closing his eyes.The staff looked at each other not knowing what to do "DID YOU NOT HEAR ME!" he yelled "GET OUT!"
Arnav's employees raced to the door and got squished by others to get through.Arnav clenched his eyes tightly blocking those images.He grabbed his coat and went home in the most horrible mood.

Khushi watched as Arnav stormed off to his room in rage she has never seen before.She decided to leave him alone for some time but couldn't when she heard things breaking.She climbed the stairs quickly and opened his door.She widened her eyes at the mess created.She looked at Arnav who was in the poolside breaking his pots,not caring for the plants he had once cared for "Arnav" Khushi called out.He didn't hear her and continued smashing his pots.Khushi walked to him and held his hand "Arnav"
Arnav turned around and stared at her with his red eyes.He suddenly grew angry and pushed her hand away from his "This is your fault" he accused "What did I ever do to you that you are haunting me?" Arnav grabbed her shoulders and pulled her towards him "It was bad enough you didn't let me sleep at night but now you're haunting me in the day.I am losing my mind and you're just relaxing,watching the tv like you don't know what's going on.I bet it's you trying to do just sort of black magic on me so you can get all my money,my wealth" He saw Khushi's tears and it hurt him to see them but his madness had already took over "You win.I lose.I am ready to give you my everything.Just stop this madness.Every single minute is filled with you.I had brought you here thinking maybe you could be my cure but because of you it got even worse.JUST STOP" he yelled pushing her back.
He didn't push her too hard which would make her fall but enough that she'll be a few feet apart from him.Arnav clenched his eyes as his headache grew.He stormed out of the room,not even glancing at a scared Khushi.

Arnav drove fast breaking all speed limits as possible.It had been one hour since he left the mansion.His headache was luckily starting to calm down.He parked his car and leaned back on his seat,closing his eyes.That's when it occurred to him.Khushi.He had said so many things to her which he didn't mean at all.He recalled how she was scared when he had grabbed her when all she wanted to do was help him calm down.He swore under his breath and started his car bringing it back to life.He drove it back to the mansion.Jumping out of the car,he raced up the stairs "Khushi" he called out,No reply "Khushi" he called out again.No reply.Suddenly his heart began beating very fast.It was racing.It made him feel like he had felt this way before.Arnav raced to his room but she was nowhere.He went to her room but she wasn't there either "KHUSHI" he yelled hoping she would hear if she was in the house but no reply 'She left' he realized.
Arnav grabbed his keys and raced off to the car hoping he'll find her and be able to bring her back home.

It has been one hour since he has been searching for her but she wasn't found.His hope was slipping but he held on to it.She was new to Delhi.She couldn't have gone far.Arnav kept driving until he noticed a flash of orange from the corner of his eye "Khushi" he whispered.He remembered earlier she was wearing orange.Parking his car quickly,he jumped out and looked for Khushi "Khushi" he called out.
He turned around and noticed a girl in orange walking on the road.Looking clearly,Arnav realized it was Khushi.He never felt at this amount of peace before "Khushi" he called out.
Khushi stopped and turned around.She looked at him shocked,obviously not expecting him "Arnav" she barely whispered.
"Khushi,come back" he said.A small honk broke their small conversation.A drunk truck driver was driving straight towards Khushi.Arnav widened his eyes "KHUSHI!" he yelled "MOVE! GET OFF THE ROAD!"
Khushi,who was oblivious to the truck coming towards her couldn't hear what Arnav said due to the huge loud crowd.Suddenly everything stopped.It was like in slow motion.She screamed.The truck came in contact with Khushi and hit her,dropping her on the cold hard cement ground.Arnav opened his mouth but nothing came out.It was like he lost his voice
"Excuse me" called out a same,husky voice making Khushi look up.A pair of dark chocolate brown eyes met her hazel ones "Is this seat occupied" He asked,pointing at the seat in front of her.Khushi shook her head.The man pushed his bag up on the rack and sat across her.Khushi let her eyes wander up to his face and was awed by how handsome he was.He was breath-taking.The man seemed to feel like someone was staring at him and looked up at Khushi.Khushi widened her eyes at being caught and immediately looked away.
Khushi opened her purse and took out a gun.Shoving it into Arnav's hand,she stood in front of him and made him hold the gun at her head "Don't move forward"screamed Khushi "He's going to kill me" Arnav widened his eyes and tried to move away but she was just as strong as him.The men pointed their guns towards the duo.Khushi screamed "Don't shoot!Or else he'll kill me and you will be killed by my father!" The men lowered their guns in realization "Go,go"she whispered to Arnav.Grabbing his keys,she opened the car and sat in the car,pulling Arnav on the driver's seat.She stared at him and grabbed the gun "What are you waiting for?The police?Let's go" she nearly yelled.
Arnav started the car and quickly drove but the men were right behind them "I can't believe this" said Arnav,looking in his rear mirror to notice they were behind them "They probably think I kidnapped you when in reality you kidnapped me"
Khushi giggled "Who cares?At least now they think I have been kidnapped.Now if you listen clearly to my instructions,we'll get rid of them" Khushi made him drive around a huge fountain,followed by the men.After a few rounds,she told him to go straight.Arnav drove away while the men kept driving around "Yes!We got rid of them"
"Khushi..wake up or do you want me to leave you"
"Mmm...you can't leave me" she said snuggling more into her blanket.
Arnav sighed "Fine then,have it your way" He threw the blanket off her and picked her up in his arms.Khushi,too sleepy snuggled cozily to him.Arnav smiled and took her to the receptionist to give off the keys.Still holding her,he handed the keys over.The receptionist looked at Khushi and back at Arnav and smiled "You guys make a cute couple"
"So was your marriage a love one?" asked Naina,NK's mother.
Khushi grinned and nodded "Arnav proposed so beautifully under the stars,with such a beautiful speech,I had to say yes"
"Where did you meet?" asked another girl sitting by.
Khushi sighed "We met at a beach"
"Beach?" repeated Naina,slightly confused.
"Yeah,he had seemed a bit stressed and I was just a bit lonely...So I went up to him and started up a conversation" she sighed,as if remembering "And then he proposed a few weeks later"
"What the hell"
The ladies looked up and saw Arnav who was looking at them ridiculously.Khushi grinned "Oh Arnav,I was just telling them our love story"
Arnav and Khushi walked outside along the ocean in silence.After a while Khushi decided to break the silence.She took a deep breath "Arnav...I think I...am in love with you" Arnav stopped immediately and stared at her.He didn't say anything.Minutes passed by but he didn't say anything "Arna-"
"Khushi" Arnav interrupted "What you feel for me might not be love..it might be attraction"
"No" Khushi immediately denied "I know I do not have an attraction for you which will go away in a few days or weeks..I know it's there to stay...I know I am in love with you"
"Never do that again Khushi...you scared me so much.I thought you left me"his arms tightened around her "I felt my heart beat stop when I saw you in the ocean...I love you..I love you so much" he admitted.
He gently pressed his lips on her and kissed her.It was a simple kiss full of love and passion from both sides but some things just weren't meant to last.Arnav snapped open his eyes when he felt her stop responding.He leaned back and looked at her.Her eyes were closed,her hands hanging loose "K-Kh-Khushi" he whispered.He gently shook her but she didn't open her eyes.Suddenly she looked so lifeless.
Arnav picked up Khushi's limp body and put his ear on her heart.No heartbeat.He pressed his thumb on her pulse and felt his heart sinking when he couldn't feel her pulse.Arnav sobbed as realization hit him.She was gone.Gone forever.Never coming back.Her soul had not only left her body but also him.Arnav felt so lifeless without and wondered how he had managed before he had met her.He held her body in his arms,crying for his loss.Khushi had not only touched his heart but also soul and he just couldn't live without her.
"KHUSHI!" Arnav yelled.He ran to her body which was slowly leaking her blood "NO KHUSHI! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!" he yelled "Khushi wake up.We are supposed to be together forever" he picked up her body in his arms and listened to her heartbeat.It was still steady "You can't leave me again.We are meant to be" he repeated.
The ambulance sirens told him help was on the way.
