Part 14
Arnav looked outside his cabin to see his employees running around to get their work done.Khushi came up behind him and looked down from his shoulder "Why are they running so much? Can't they walk peacefully?"
Arnav gave a small smiled and looked at her "I guess you could say they are scared of me"
Khushi frowned "That isn't a good thing"
This time Arnav frowned "Why not?"
"Well why do you think that's a good thing?"
Arnav looked outside from the glass of his window "People want money.So do these employees.They need to be scared that if they don't do their job properly,they won't have any money"
Khushi stared at him "What made you think like that?"
Arnav looked at her for a few seconds and then looked down "I..I don't know really" Arnav's phone rang "Hello...oh okay,bring him in" Arnav put his phone back and looked at Khushi "I have a meeting"
"Oh I guess I should leave"
"You can stay if you want"
Khushi smiled "I would but what would I do here..I'll just go"
Arnav nodded "You brought the driver with you right?"
Khushi nodded "Bye"
"Bye" said Arnav as he watched her leave.

Shashi Gupta had always felt he had known Arnav Singh Raizada but his 60 year old brain just wouldn't cooperate.As he sat across from Arnav Singh Raizada,the questions kept arising:Who is he? Do I know him? He looked familiar.With a sigh,he turned and paid attention to the presentation.
Arnav was no less.Ever since he had heard Shashi Gupta's name,he knew there was some sort of connection.Arnav,for some reason,despised Shashi.Hated him.Maybe even worse and the worst part he didn't know why.There was just some kind of strong negative vibe that came from Shashi.As the presentation ended,the lights turned on.Arnav blinked twice bringing himself out of his thoughts.He frowned when he saw a hand come forward towards him for a handshake.He looked up to see it was Shashi.Arnav stared at him and glanced at his hand "I would like to think over this deal before confirming it" he declared.
Shashi looked a bit taken aback but then resumed back to his original position "Oh o-okay then.I'll wait for your answer"
Without a backward glace,Arnav left the conference room.

At Night 8:00 PM
Arnav made his way inside his mansion.He was surprised when he found the lights switched on.He was shocked when he found Khushi asleep on the dining table.As much as he wanted to laugh,he kept quiet and moved forward to wake her "Khushi" he whispered gently as he shook her shoulder.
Khushi's eyes slowly flickered open and went wide when she saw him.She grinned and stood up "I made dinner"
Arnav chuckled "You could have just gone to sleep"
Khushi shrugged "I just wanted to take a small nap,anyways have a seat.I made dinner"
Arnav sat down and stared at her "Khushi,you don't have to do all this.That's why we have servants"
"I like doing it" she said happily as she served him food.
Arnav smiled as he watched her.

Khushi wanted to watch a movie but Arnav wanted to go to sleep.Arnav told her to go ahead and watch her movie and he would go to bed.Arnav was going to his room to sleep but stopped.What if that horrible nightmare came back to haunt him again? He glanced back downstairs in the living room where Khushi was watching her movie 'It wouldn't be a big deal if I watched the movie with her and then sleep with her,right' he thought to himself.Making his decision he went down and sat next to a surprised Khushi "I hope you don't mind me watching the movie with you"
Khushi shook her head "I thought you wanted to sleep"
Arnav gulped "Um..not anymore" he said 'There's no way I am admitting that I am afraid of going to sleep alone' he thought to himself.
Khushi turned the movie on and sighed when the title came up 'Maine Pyaar Kiya'.Arnav widened his eyes.A pure romantic move? Was she serious? He sighed as he waited for the movie to be over.
An hour later,Arnav frowned when he felt a weight on his shoulder.He looked to his right and found Khushi asleep.He smiled as he turned off the tv.Picking Khushi up in his arms,he took her upstairs to her room and lay her on bed.Slipping next to her,he covered them with the duvet.Keeping a safe distance from her,he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Arnav took her to the dance floor.Placing one of her hands on his shoulder,Arnav held the other hand in his and held her waist.Khushi managed to sway with him to the music without passing out.She didn't why suddenly his approximatey was creating havoc on her senses.Khushi tightened her hold on Arnav's shoulder and looked at him.He was already looking at her.Khushi stared into Arnav's dark brown eyes,enchanted by their deepness.She didn't know when she was so close to him that their bodies were almost touching.The music suddenly stopped and the couple came out into the real world.Khushi looked away and so did Arnav.

"Oh,sorry" he said,wrapping the blanket around her.Khushi immediately snuggled into it's coziness.Arnav looked at her.She was still awake but trying to be warm "Sorry about the water incident" he said.Khushi looked up at him "It's just that...I hate people who lie"
Khushi nodded "I'll make sure...never to..do that again" she said,still cold but a bit warm.
Arnav gave a small smile "Now that you're awake,I doubt you'll be falling back asleep" Khushi nodded "You still look cold..I'll help you to the washroom" Arnav picked her up in his arms easily with the blanket still wrapped around her.He took her to the washroom and put her on the counter.
"Thanks" Khushi smiled.
"No problem" he replied and left.

"A-Arnav...I l-love you" she spoke as a tear slipped from her eye "I a-always have and a-always will" Arnav sobbed as he tightened his hold on her.
"I..I am..so sorry Khushi" he sobbed "I should've n-never left you a-alone"
Khushi gave him a weak smile "I-It's not y-your fault...I g-guess o-our love wasn't meant t-to be for this l-lifetime" Arnav's eyes turned red from crying so hard and so much "C-can I ask f-for s-something?" Arnav nodded "C-Can I...h-have one l-last k-k-kiss?"
Arnav sobbed and nodded.He gently pressed his lips on her and kissed her.It was a simple kiss full of love and passion from both sides but some things just weren't meant to last.Arnav snapped open his eyes when he felt her stop responding.He leaned back and looked at her.Her eyes were closed,her hands hanging loose "K-Kh-Khushi" he whispered.He gently shook her but she didn't open her eyes.Suddenly she looked so lifeless.

"NOO!" Arnav screamed as he sat up on the bed wide awake.
"Arnav" he heard Khushi's sleepy voice and felt her hand on his shoulder.Grabbing her hand,he pulled her towards him and hugged her tightly,letting her hair caress his face "Arnav" he felt her hand rub his back "Are you okay?"
He sighed and closed his eyes,gluing her body to his.He rubbed his cheek to her soft,silky hair and murmured against her ear "Sorry I woke you up.Go back to sleep"
"But you-"
"Sshhh" he whispered "Go back to sleep"
Khushi gave a small sigh and closed her eyes falling back asleep.When Arnav felt she was deep asleep,he lay down on his back on the bed,gently pulling Khushi on top of him.Tight wrapping his arms around her securely,he fell back asleep to have a peaceful night unlike earlier.
