This was a transitional episode, you got to have to one of these to setup the story so I had no issue. They can't rush into every track head first the story needs to be told in a reasonable pace so the events can unfold.
Paro nervousness and trust in the Jallad was shown to indicate that no matter what she knows he will have her back. Dilsher has been changing slowly and becoming a caring father now he seems to have jumped that final hurdle with his heart breaking for what his son was about to lose. I thought that scene was well done by both brothers it was necessary to show Dilsher acknowledge his follies, to show us how much he loves his son truly, to show us that he knows his son very well understands him too to know what his job means to him and how devastated he would be if Rudra lost that critical piece that holds his sanity together.
Lastly the final face off, it played out the way it should have, shock first by Rudra then his wheels start turning he has found an opening it was his life or Paro's and we all know he will chose his. He will gladly take a bullet for her on the field of duty, but this is beyond that his honour is at stake and Paro is a criminal. I know there is a lot of rumbling on the forum regarding his behaviour, but I for one am impressed this is who he is and he will do anything for his country and Paro is an accused and he would not be an officer of the law if he let his fancy for a girl govern his sense of justice. Justice needs to be served and I am sorry Paro but Rudra is right to use any means necessary. Men like Tejawat count on people like Paro to cover their crimes and I know Paro is naive and dumb so she is not capable of worldly thinking but that is why we need men like Rudra to fight and fight with conviction, vigour, fearlessness to deal with such evil. Tejawat will find a way to escape he must have a lot of political connections Paro is just a means to an end which can be easily disposed of anytime, hope Paro realizes this soon how without Rudra she is a nobody.
I dont want Rudra to be court martialed because in reality by military law even if later on the evidence is proven false against the officer he can never come back to his post. I have heard of instances the best that can be done is the officer is released from punishment and sent away on exile, even if the fault is of military they will never admit it. The reason being people should not lose faith in the justice of the armed officers, that is why such punishments are rare and given out after full blown inquiry with undeniable evidences against an accused officer for unpardonable crimes. That is why if this happens with Rudra he is done for he can never go back and how will this show go on if Rudra is not in BSD that is the whole premise of the plot. That is why I have faith Rudra will find a way and not pay for Paro dumbness and Takur evilness.
I want to counter argue that people think Rudra is doing this just so that he can hang on to that dashing uniform, no he really believes in his duty and prides his service. If he is proven wrong then all those that died under him, died in vain, the mothers that cursed him will feel broken that their sons did not die serving their country but rather some maniac officer took them on a fool's errand costing them their lives which will nullify their sacrifice. It is not humiliation just for him, it is humiliation for those dead brave souls it is that torments rudra to have their sacrifice their honour mocked at.
With every passing episode I am truly in awe of Rudra complex character, he is one of the most well written, well conceptualized, well thought of and brilliantly acted characters on TV. He hates his family but values family relation of others as he values another mothers tears for her son, he wants no attachment but he is attached to his officers like aman and his father and takes care of them like a true guardian, he thinks he is a janwar yes a janwar he is but it is the kind that stands post like the batman lurks in the darkness no one sees him but they know if anything goes wrong batman will save the day, he claims he has a stone heart but it can melt like ice cream at the mention of his mother can be easily made to cry and smile by a small girl deeply buried in his heart that beats for her that waits for her. Rudra is a paradox I hope the edge in his character always stays.
Thank you for your detailed comments and analysis.😃
Great points as usual:
@Transitional episode: Agreed, but there have been other link episodes where everything has come together fairly musically. Yesterday was jarring - the filler feeling very overt, the lines stretching endlessly, the acting slip ups...But respect your opinion.
@ Brothers scene: Agreed it was essential, and one of the 'meaty' scenes yesterday. I thought the actor who played Danveer was excellent in showing his alarm, concern, apprehension. It was Kali Prasad ji who I thought over-played his hand until it looked like hamming.
@Rudra's ruthlessness: There will always be a debate regarding the end and the means to the end. Yes Tejawat must be exposed. But does an innocent life have to be sacrificed along the way. Is collateral damage an issue at all? I can feel both Rudra's and Paro's pain - so CVs, cast and crew 👏👏👏 that's a job well done right there!! I think that the vilification of Rudra on this forum is unnecessary as is the vilification of Paro. They have their roles to play, and if we are able to feel for them then all for the better.
@Rudra court-martialled: Agreed. I really don't want that to happen. And thanks for highlighting the consequences of a court-martial.
@ BSD more than a uniform for Rudra: 👏👏 Well said!
@Rudra the complex character: So true and beautifully said. This is a very conflicted character, painted black, white and every shade in between, that yet makes us empathise with him. I am definitely willing to cut him some slack in the upcoming track.
