I have to say, I like your take of the episode more than the episode itself. Dont get me wrong, the episode was good and would have been great if not for that background music which was a kill joy. Also Paro's passivity in the episode sort of killed it for me. For a great love scene you need both the leads to be active participants.

Someone has got to have a word with the music director. the title song is beautiful & soulful, but its various adapted versions for BG makes me want to pull my ears out.

So I peek-a-boo into your new virtual residence, JUST to read what you've to say.

I read your prose, and I feel these characters come alive in my Mind's Eye, without even knowing anything about them. They're doused with shimmer & bathed in rosy romanticism & I feel like this is what is missing in the JA Forum.

Miss you, my Shahrukh. 🤗

Hey JA friends. I just recently started watching this show and I am loving it so far. Can you imagine after months of torture it is now in JA that the good times have begun. But Rang Rasiya lovers have already started on a very positive note, no stretching no dragging, no unnecessary hate they are being very realistic in their hate nothing too over the top. But vicky is right this story is working backwards, Rudra character is such that Paro is safe if he hates her, if he loves her that is when she is screwed. That is when all his messed up psyche will get channeled to her and how she handles his demons forms the crux of the story.

There is much talk of Othello, his character is very similar to Othello. I can see him capable of such vengeance if his heart is broken by Paro. It will be a great love story if the writers handle it well, but just as great if they give it othello's ending. Does that mean knowing the tragedy we do not wish to see their journey or do we wish Paro someone better, even Desdemona having her husband kill her for a crime she did not commit loved only him even in death she would not have regretted her love for him or would have wanted to be with anyone else. She was a very naive character just like Paro but her love was her strength she loved and accepted his hatred in the end too as it is a part of who he is. Othello as he saw her die in his arms when realizing the truth takes his own life and thus joining her where they finally found peace. His love for her was tormented and arrested by his tragic limitations in the land of the living, and it took death to release them so that they can continue their journey.

I think many betrayals are coming in this story for Rudra via Paro. One such hint today with the investigation against him if proved wrong he will lose his post. Rudra is obsessed with his job it is his whole existence if that is taken from him he will go mad. Now Aman is worried, but Rudra what is interesting is his confidence in Paro that if she knew the truth he believes she would take his side. For me that is how the scene came through, Rudra showing trust in Paro, which is far more telling than the follow up romantic scene. I have a feeling the first big blow will come to Rudra when he will lose this case and he will be court marital and Paro will have a hand in it, but the twist could be she might not have had any choice. They have established how dangerous Thakur is he won't be taken down easily, Paro is clearly Rudra weakness he will strike at her and thru her take Rudra down.

I totally agreed with this 😊

Beautiful...

Today, Rudra can hide his chocolate mousse shades under his rudeness and his steely exterior. Today, Paro can curse Rudra 24x7 without a commercial break. But when the times comes , Rudra will have to sacrifice his nature for his feelings, and Paro will do anything and everything to protect him from the darkness that he invites. Its only a matter of time and just how far you can fight what you actually want.

I was totally ready to NOT expect yr post yday... I programmed myself, Vicky Sa will be partying!!😎
Not that I slept any earlier😆...

Y is it that u never leave anything else to add?😆...
If I write anything it would be yr words muddled in my less coherent sentences🤣

Anyway, me too was thinking the same reading some posts in the forum, where and when has Rudra's feelings changed? When has he become soft?😕
Rudra has been portrayed as harsh/abrupt on the outside and emotionally soft on the inside. Yes, these men can b extremely sweet, and caring..thoughtful...(when you are not watching them )... my brother isEXACTLY the same!😆..A mother's role in a child's life, can either make or break that person.

He has been shown to take care of his bitter father, ringing him to see if he has ate food. These nuances are already in his character traits. And the 'hatred' for beautiful women is a front to ward of any sense of attachment to anyone, in case he has to undergo loss as he did with his mother.
For a child to have no sense of belonging is very crushing. One's unconditional support system in life is our parents. There is no one after that. All relationships after that come with conditions. Rudra didn't have that from either of his parents. It would be extremely difficult fro him to trust/accept that someone actually wants be a part of his life...with him... for him. There will always be doubts, suspicion. Because the foundation of this love has never been set.

Paro she is safe as long as she acts 'indifferent' to him. He can pour his care on her...whilst she sleeps...😆... but not have to deal with a growing closeness/attachment or her wanting commitment from him.
When she enters that phase the Rudra that will unmask before her will become her living hell.

Paro is someone who hasbeen in need of a protector. Her clutching his arms, sleeping peacefully in a different place and his bed, already shows how she accepts him as her Guardian. When someone does a small act of kindness, we feel indebted for life, The way Rudra comes to stand before her and ANY form of harm, means she is his already!

I hope the cv's can narrate the story as they viewed it. I know it's business, peoples bread and butter, but slow boring serials (the TRP earners🥱) have some srsly boring dragging tracks every now and again , how come they don't change the story lines?😕

love your post, MKM.

rudra has a soft side which he does not want others to see..

there are many instances where we see how he cares abt his father's well being..
even if it was asked in his rough and rude tone ..

he does not hate beautiful women, but has a big trust issue with them.
grow close, and they'll hurt you..

paro herself is a caring person.

and now that these two are together 24/7, it will be a treat to see who's caring nature will be the first one to turn into something more complicated but beautiful ..😉

@All. Thank you for reading, liking and commenting. I am sorry that am not around to reply everyone individually , but i did read everyone's take.

I agree with Soffu, Goggu and others . Rudra is not doing anything that is out of character for him. He is a rough person but he has a caring nature. He is not fawning over Paro. He is giving her compassion in his own way, like he gives his father. Amine, Paro will have a chance to save Rudra in future - take a chance where she will have a choice to either destroy him or else save him by her one sentence. But i don't think Paro will do anything to damage Rudra consciously. Because by the time that crisis comes, she would have seen Rudra as he is really is. The betrayal on the Othello lines which was not even true will have more to do with the heart IF we are still following Othello.

Bassu, i agree on the BG thing. They need to play versions of the title song as per the scene - the soft one, the tragic one, the romantic one, the aggressive one - they all should be in sync with the scene that is being played out. Paro was passive in that sleeping beauty scene , so that we could see that Rudra is not harsh at all when no one is looking. He has a caring and compassionate soul. Now, that Paro will live with Rudra as is fiancee , she will see these shades too and no, she will not be sleeping at that time.

Again, lovely post and insightful. I agree that her being asleep was really key in his being able to show his caring side...he could be that way precisely because no one was looking...

and yes, he's caring by nature, not affect. We've seen the evidence: He loves his father in his own gruff way and has always cared for him, and the father knows very well what's behind the bluster;
Paro does't, and may not fr a while...but it is striking how she instinctively trusts him...she *knows* that her honor - and life -- is safe when he's around.

I wonder how far they will take the Othello inspiration. I agree that Paro will not deliberately destroy him at work...that the 'betrayal' will likely involve the heart, later on and that will shatter him. I'm not sure how far they'll take the analogy though. If they take it all the way I feel it will be Thakur and Laila and (sumer?) that might play a role (and I hop

Somehow I doubt it will be kaki,,,I feel sumer will singe her with the sale of the haveli and rudra might rescue them from the situation, but who knows

Finally, I too hope they stick with the lovely RR music and its various versions. the poetry, though lovely, was from the left field and so felt jarring. It wasn't really necessary..
