Know all about Sahara chief- Shubhroto Roy's unique gift to Abhishek and Aishwarya on the special day.

Aishwarya Rai has a wax replica of herself at Madam Trussaud's Musuem in London. That's for the world to admire. Now to be secretly admired within the walls of their home by the family? Abhi-Ash's clasped hands will be moulded in gold (could be silver or diamond encrusted too) and will be framed and mounted on the wall. This is a gift from the Sahara boss and the Bachchans' family friend Shubhroto Roy for the couple.

He has asked Bhavna Jasra well known for her unique talent of creating the exact replica of hands, to make them in gold, silver and diamonds. Bhavna said "I met Subhroto Roy at their office here, he liked the profile I showed him. He said he couldn't have thought of a better gift for Abhishek and Aishwarya. He immediately called Abhishek, they were in Malaysia for the Zee awards show so he was not able to talk to them. But he has commissioned the gift. People may gift him a car, jewellery which will have commercial value, but this will have sentimental value for them."

Has she met them for the impressions for the moulds?
"The Sahara organization will organize the meeting and once the date is decided I will meet them." Since she still hasn't met them, will the gift be ready on time for the wedding? "It may not be ready on time to be given to them as a wedding gift, but Saharashri is fine with it, he said that he doesn't mind gifting it later also. It's a significant present."

What kind of metal will she use for the cast? "He has left the choice to them. They have to decide what they want whether silver, gold or diamonds."

The Khans are not invited at wedding

The official news is that none of the three ruling Khans, namely Salman (no points for guessing why), Shah Rukh (but naturally) and Aamir (not really close), have been invited to Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's wedding on April 20.

Even though they share close family ties with the other Khans, Saif, Fardeen and Zayed, too have not been extended the official nimantran patra.

And with the wedding only a week away, it's unlikely that even a phone invitation will be extended.

The rumour that Shah Rukh had bumped into Ash and Abhi at a post party for the Zee Cine Awards in Malaysia, where the couple extended him an invitation has been denied by Shah Rukh.. "I did not meet them post the show, neither have they invited me to their wedding. Regardless, I wish them the best," he simply says.

Salman, too has been snubbed for obvious reasons.

Meanwhile, the usually straightforward Feroz Khan preferred to maintain a stoic silence on his invite's no-show. Ironically, Ash had attended both Fardeen and Zayed's shaadi last year.

Choreographer Farah Khan, who has worked with Abhishek in many films, has also been left out.

Her brother, director-anchor-comedian Sajid Khan, says with tongue firmly in cheek, "I haven't got the call. I don't think I will get a letter of regret either!"

Meanwhile, Saif can 'safely' say he wasn't able to attend the party (even if he were to be invited) as he has left for Dubai to shoot for Abbas-Mustan's upcoming film, Race.

It is learnt that Salman too will shortly be leaving for the USA for 'personal work'.
