Yes that is what I was saying.

He uses a process called "circular breathing" which minimizes and hides his breathing, making it look like he has sung non-stop for 3 minutes in a row. It's a singing skill and talent that no other singer can match Shanjar Mahadevan at.

Not really. I've been saying he has been breathing, using a process called "circular breathing" which hides the actual breaths he takes...

The singing is very impressive. Unfortunately, I've upped my strictness level for this round. Now the performances have to be perfect in every single way to get 10/10 from me[/quote]

No other singer I can think of can sing this song like Shankar has from the start of Indian music to present.

If you don't receive a 10, following a statement like that above, then what do you have to do to receive a 10?

*lifts mic*

This 'no other singer' thing is so stupid that I don't want to engage in that discussion at all.

As I said elsewhere in my review, impressive = heart touching

An acrobat is impressive. But a dancer should touch the heart and soul. Understand the difference.

Had Shankarji had even more of the heart touching element, I would have awarded 10 points. That's what you have to do to receive ten on the strictest possible scale.

Ssk mere bhai, you are a very talented debater.

You quoted me and raised the point that how can I not give 10 to a song that I myself have called impressive.

I countered your argument.

So now you're changing the argument as to who can else can sing like this. I have already said that I'm not interested in that discussion.

Don't change the topic when you lose the first argument. Everyone can see through those schoolboy debating tactics.

See you in the next round.

I never raised a point of how you cannot give a 10 to a performance you call impressive.
😆

Is this a cope-out? Making something up and then running out of here before you have to answer difficult questions.

There was no "first" argument, and the only statement I made to your post was something that no one else in bollywood music industry history can do deserves 10.

WOW! Well spotted!

Hmm.. let's see what producerji does...

This song is so unique that it can't be replaced by a song from the 2000's. That is to say that Shankarji has not shown this skill of his in any other song. Since most of the marks being given are for his amazing breathless effect, the song is vital in that respect. We can't just say that "Shankarji has many other songs like this one in the 2000's, so it's OK to let this song remain in the competition."

Let's see what risingabove decides...

FALSE ALARM!

As ssk has shown, this song was released in 2000 so its OK!
