not biological dad! he just took an orphan under his care and made him a doctor. Actually he wanted his daughter (N's mom) to become a doctor but she eloped with N's father during her college days ( thats why N's parents so badly wanted her to be a doctor)

@shanti- its interesting that he doesn't have a surname. May be coz he was not officallly adopted by his 'baba' or he decided to leave it after he felt betrayed by his baba who gave the house to nidhi

Yes maybe But the way Ashu was shwn like angry mixed feelings must be due to some betrayal that he gave the house , but maybe bauji (baba) must have made a will since the lawyer did;nt want to tell whom the house went to right
