Later, he stepped into films and did a number of movies like Jazbaat, Hum Toh Mohabbat Karega, LOC Kargil, Plan, Kaante, Delhii Heights and many more. However, he was highly acclaimed for his portrayal of the character 'Fatoo' in Shootout At Lokhandwala.

And now, Rohit Roy is all set to make his directorial debut with one of the episodes called Rice Plate starring Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in the much awaited episodic film Dus Kahaniyaan.
