Do you and Archana feel old in front of your younger competitors? Parmeet Sethi > No, it doesn't. I am not old and I will not feel old. Age is very relative; only my relatives get old, not me! I think I am a bit wiser among the younger lot. Rehandubai > Which was your first TV serial? When did you do it? Parmeet Sethi > My first TV serial was Junoon and it was in 1994. Nawalchef > Hi Parmeet! Any new movie coming for you? Are you from Canada? Parmeet Sethi > No, I am not from Canada. My forth-coming film is going to be Babul , which is directed and produced by Ravi Chopra. Gauri > How did you and Archana get convinced to take part in Nach Baliye ? And what sort of preparation did you two undergo? Who chooses the theme for the each episode of Nach Baliye? Parmeet Sethi > We both believe that TV has to be more than just a few soaps. A change is necessary and we are happy to be a part of that change. We just do our rehearsals and work out everyday. The choreographer and we choose the (dance) theme, after extensive discussions. Sweety > Ok, what do you plan to do with the money you are getting (if you win Nach Baleyee)? Parmeet Sethi > Nothing that I have thought of, but a good holiday is definitely in order. Kali > Why did you leave (serial) Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin ? We want you back! Miss you on the show. Parmeet Sethi > Jassi has out gown 'Raj' (that's me in the serial) and it's better to leave while you are still wanted. I have to move on in life. Parmeetsethi > Satsriakaal ! Aapko Nach Baliye me kamiyabi ho isliye best of luck! Parmeet Sethi > Satsrikaal ! aur aapki dua zaroor rang dikhayengi. Clod > You became such a hit on TV, but why is it that despite a film like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, in your initial years, you have not been able to make it big in films? Parmeet Sethi > I think it's something called Destiny. Doll > Parmeet, besides acting in films and TV do you have any other family business? Are you a businessman, basically? Parmeet Sethi > I used to be in to garment exports but not any more, as I don't get time. Lili > What do you do in your free time? Parmeet Sethi > I don't know what it means – Free Time! I have not had that since the start of Nach Baliye . Lkli > TV takes up so much time; it's so stressful for all you guys who shoot for 12- 13 hours in a day. Do you or any of your colleagues suffer from any ailment because of that? How do you cope with such physically demanding profession? Parmeet Sethi > Yes, I am suffering from insomnia at the moment and I meditate to try and cope up. My wife Archana has slip-disc of the neck. Rama > What sort of roles will we see you this time round in films? Are you going to be playing the villain? Parmeet Sethi > In my forthcoming movie, I am playing the villain. Dreamy > Any plans of directing/producing a film or a TV serial in the future? What about anchoring shows? A lot of senior stars are doing that these days. Parmeet Sethi > Yeah, I am open to directing films but not TV because The latter (TV) doesn't need a director any more, as the channel does it. And yes, I would love to anchor shows. Kali > Do you watch cricket? Do you think India will beat South Africa in the current series? Do you like Saurav Ganguly? Do you think he will make a comeback? Parmeet Sethi > Yes, I do like cricket. Indians will win but it will be difficult. I think Saurav is good and he will make a comeback, may be first, in the test matches. Sandy3 > Are you going to come back in 'Gulmohar' (in the serial Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin)? What if they give you a good role as 'Raj' again? Will you return? Parmeet Sethi > Never. Nahi > What sports do you play? Is your wife into sports too? Parmeet Sethi > I play tennis and football, mainly along with all other sports. And my wife plays table tennis. Shikhamittal > What are your future plans? Parmeet Sethi > I have stopped second-guessing my life. Therefore, I just don't have a plan for the future. I try to live for the moment.
