"What?! Okay we will come! We will be there as soon as possible!" she heard him say and came out stealthily to hear more clearly.

But as she reached the door, he knocked and she fell back making a loud falling noise and a scream escaped her mouth.

Arjun panicked as he thought something might have happened to her and hence, he broke through the door.

Riya saw him coming in and slid back on the floor. He came near her and got a hold of her arm and touched her face.

"Are you alright!?" he asked touching her head to find any injuries.

Riya flinched and pushed him away. She was about to run again but heard him call out, "Riya, your dad is sick!" this stopped her immediately.

She turned to him teary eyed, "yes, it was a call from your mom. She said he has a high fever and doctors have diagnosed him typhoid too. So he wants to see you. As soon as possible." He said and Riya slumped down in sorrow.

He quickly went near her and consoled her, "don't worry he is fine! Its just 3 percent typhoid, he is going to be okay! Its just that he is willing to see you." He clarified and Riya looked at him with tears in her doe like eyes and Arjun was drowned in them. His anger, gone. Her fear, gone.

He saw her shivering and she sneaked near his chest towards his warmth, obviously, unknowingly.

"Everything will be okay." He assured her with a kiss on her lips. Assured about both, about her father and their relationship. He was, at that moment amazed at her, how a simple act of kissing her can scare her and give her assurance at the same time!?

It was like a magic spell he had on her and she on him. They forgot everything when they shared some close moments. And they both were starting to experience the rapid change of emotions around each other, maybe it was just a side effect of what People called, L.O.V.E.

Riya saw herself giving in again and stood up quickly. To make the atmosphere light, Arjun said, "I am hungry." But that too did not go well with her. He saw her eyes widening and she took a step back fearing him again. He closed his yes and cursed himself, "for food, obviously." He said and Riya walked towards the kitchen quickly.

"God! I am loosing it!" he said as he saw himself in the mirror and washed his face and came out.

The day after that Riya left for her home with amit. At first Arjun wanted to go himself coz he didn't wanted Riya to be all alone. But then only he got a news about Sik being spotted in New York city, in America. If it was any other work, he would have avoided, but it was Sik, so he couldn't. So he appointed his two best men in force to escort her to her house and keep an eye on her all the time, without her knowledge, and her personal bodyguard, amit, would be there too. So Arjun might be less worried.

Days passed by and Riya's dad was healthier in few days only. He was all fit and fine and all thanks to Riya and her care she showered on everyone who comes in her touch. Amit too enjoyed the place as they were being treated like celebrities. Everyone n her town knew Riya was the wife of 'his highness, prince, Arjun Suryakant Rawte of Solapur'. That made many things easy. They were given special hospitality wherever they went, they were offered many special things for free, like ice creams, chocolate and they had all the attention. Amit was enjoying it to the fullest while Riya was embarrassed to all those attentions.

The bodyguards had a tough time keeping their eye on her coz she was always surrounded by lots of people, either the locals or her family members.

It was now the day when they were about to head back. Amit made new friends in there too and Riya was satisfied that her parents were safe and sound now. And that they were really happy for her. And she was for them.

Their flight landed and Riya waited for Arjun to come as he said he would when they were about to leave, 18 days ago. Yes 18 days of her life! Riya couldn't have imagined them without him, but the wait to see him again, was worth it.

She waited and waited but he didn't come. She sat there with amit waiting for him but still he didn't showed up.

After waiting for almost 4 hours, they went home in a taxi on amit's constant requests, as Riya was adamant that Arjun would come to pick her up.

It was early evening when they came home and Riya opened the door from her keys, thinking that Arjun might be at work. Arjun who was working in his study on Sik's case was so drowned that he didn't even hear his phone beep when the main door opened. (Remember he set it up with the cameras.)

When he heard some prominent footsteps, he quickly took his gun out and went out in his cop mode. He heard someone take his name.

"Arjun is so dead when he meets me!" said amit angry, not because they had to wait and he didn't showed up, but because Riya thought he would come and he didn't.

"Amit! Don't say like that! He might be busy in some work!" said Riya as she was both happy and sad at him not coming, sad that he was not even bothered to pick them up and happy that finally she will not have to face him after what happened between them weeks ago.

"We waited for 4 hours didi! If he had his so-called work, he would have came at least an hour late or 2 hours late but he didn't came AT ALL!" said amit angrily and Arjun heard them guiltily.

He totally forgot that today Riya and amit were returning! He had got a lead about Sik and was working on it non-stop! But still he can't afford to forget his own wife's arrival!

"Amit, he is no ordinary man, is he? He is a police officer! He has duties!" said Riya trying to make amit understand.

"And what about his duties towards YOU!" amit said and Riya's eyes reflected instant hurt. Arjun saw this and was feeling guiltier. Amit saw the hurt too and regretted what he said. He cannot make Riya sad, after all he was the only person who has really seen her loneliness, so to lighten the mood he said funnily "didi, if I were in your place I would have kicked him out of the bedroom and would have made him sleep on the couch for whole week!" he said and Riya smiled at his antics. Seeing her smile amit continued, "then I would have shown him some of my karate skills -" said amit and kicked sideways, and then turned around giving a flying kick in the air. But just then he noticed Arjun holding a gun and listening to them. "DIDI! ARJUN!!" screamed amit and quickly went and hid behind Riya. Riya tried seeing in the dark, but then suddenly lights were on and Riya looked at Arjun holding a gun at them.

"Oh." He saw a scared look on her face and shoved away the gun in his belt.

There was an awkward silence that followed them and it was as if they met for the first time, no one knew what to say or how to apologize.

"I am sorry, amit was just telling me a story." Said Riya and hoped he might not have heard what amit said.

"Hmm. I know." Said Arjun and tried walking away. Prince Arjun doesn't apologize after all.

"WAIT!" seeing his gun gone away, amit came out from her back. Arjun turned and amit said, "where were you today!?" he asked like he was his wife.

"Excuse me?" Arjun did not understand what he meant.

"We were returning today and you didn't even come to pick us up! We waited for 4 hours!!" said amit angrily on behalf of Riya.

"Umm – I -I was- " Arjun never gave any explanations so was having a hard time coming up with one.

"I told you he was going to lie!" said amit to Riya and Riya looked at him, gesturing to stop.

"He might be busy, amit. Its okay." Said Riya ever so lovingly and Arjun looked at her.

What was she! If there was any other girl, she would have blasted me, but Riya, she was still speaking on my side! Thought Arjun and looked at her lovingly.

"I am sorry." Said Arjun and the prince in him lost to the princess in front of him.

"Its okay." Said Riya wide eyed. She never expected him to apologize. But when he did, she felt honored.

"No its not!" said amit and looked at Arjun and pointed a finger towards himself. He had a smirk asking Arjun to apologize to him too.

"Forget it." said Arjun to annoy him and turned to go again.

"Hey!! I waited for 4 hours too! I need an apology!" said amit and stomped his foot on the ground.

"Sorry." Said Arjun arrogantly and that was enough for amit to squeal.

Amit turned to Riya and gave a look to her and smiled stylishly. He then gave a gotcha look to Arjun and smiled to him too, but in the process he showed a toothy smile to him with a recently broken tooth.

Seeing so Arjun could not help but chuckle out loud at his actions. Seeing him laugh at him, amit hugged Riya and said a quick bye to her and left for his home.

That day after so many long days, Arjun finally had dinner in his house. He was literally fed up of eating in a hotel. And now, one thing he was sure of, Riya, was that part of his life that can either make him or break him.

Arjun remembered that day and saw the girl and the boy going with someone who came to pick them up. They were keeping their luggage in the car, just besides them, he saw Chotu with the old lady and her box. He didn't know why but he saw a blood drop fall from the box.

"Dead bodies do not bleed!!!" he said to himself and ran towards them.

Chotu put that box in her car and she was about to go but was immediately stopped by Arjun.

"TEAM ASSEMBLE!!" he shouted on his bluetooth and in 10 seconds cops surrounded them.

"Open it!" he said to Chotu who stood there wondering what was happening.

"But beta - " sky tried to intervene starting to act like an old lady again.

But Arjun had had enough he just pointed his gun towards the old lady (sky)'s head and Rathore came running.

"What happened!" he asked.

"I got him!" said Arjun and snatched out sky's wig.

Everyone including Rathore gasped and in a quick moment sky closed the trunk and jumped inside the car. He started it and was about to go but the cops surrounding them stood in front of him. But he was ruthless, he geared up and bumped them away from it. The whole ETF ran behind him.

They fired some shots but were afraid to shoot his car coz if the car was misbalanced then it would harm Riya, who was in his trunk.

Soon a local man threw his car keys towards Arjun and he grabbed them. They sat in the car and followed him.

Sky didn't know the place so accidentally went on the wrong side near the dead end. He took the car towards the hill and stopped it quickly as there were no roads ahead. Sky got down and opened the trunk, revealing a heavily drugged Riya, hurt on her head.

ETF too came and got spread around. Arjun felt weak in her heart as he saw the state she was in, misplaced hairs, eyes swollen, lips bleeding and cheeks red. Her head was hurt too, that is why he got to see the blood dripping down. And moreover, her delicate wrists were hand cuffed!

Riya flinched as he held her from her hairs and took her out from that tiny box.

Sik's brother stood there holding her by her hairs.

"Riya!" said Arjun under his breath.

"If you want her, leave my brother!" shouted Sik's brother.

"You know, you are a fool to make these demands. You can't go anywhere away from here. If you move, we will shoot you." Said Rathore angrily.

"And you think I will stand here watching you do that!?" he said and held Riya more tightly. Riya was drugged and when she heard familiar voices, she didn't recognize them.

"Leave her." said Arjun.

And Riya was fully conscious now. She cannot mistake this voice even in her dreams! She tried opening her eyes but they felt so heavy!! Dammit! She tried and tried.

Finally a blurry vision appeared. She saw 4 men standing and her Arjun, he looked loud and clear!

"Arjun!" she said happily and his heart broke at her call.

"Leave her, sky. Or else I will kill you!" warned Arjun and loaded his gun to intimidate him.

"And I will sit here? Nope. If I am going to be dead, so is your love!" he said pulling Riya towards the end of the cliff.

Everyone looked at him and tried running to him but he stopped them, "one more step, and she is gone." He said looking at the ground beneath the cliff, it was at least 50 feets away.

"NO!" shouted Shree. As he nearly saw them slip.

Sky came a bit away from the end and stood there adamant.

"Bring up my brother!" sky asked and Arjun agreed.

"Okay! But please do not do anything to her! I am calling my uncle." Said Arjun and called kaka. "Kaka, we are at the cliff, please bring Sikandar. His brother is asking Sik in exchange of Riya." He cut the call and said to sky, "My uncle is bringing him. Please leave her."

"NOPE! Do I look like a kid to you? I want my brother and then only I will leave her." saying so he took out the gun from his back and kept it on her head. Seeing it Riya tried struggling and he slapped her, in front of Arjun.

"You shouldn't have done that!" saying so Arjun jumped towards him . . .
