Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is all set for a major setback. Their male lead Sartaj Gill has put in his papers and is all set to bid goodbye to the show. In an unexpected twist of events, the lead actor has decided to quit his hit Zee TV show.

A leading news portal reported that allegedly Sartaj has taken this step as he has been getting offers for other shows as well.

And when this news channel asked Sartaj about the same, Sartaj even confirmed that he was indeed quitting the show.

We tried contacting Sartaj, but he did not receive our calls till the time of filing the story. We called up Eisha, who was surprisingly unaware of the whole thing.

It is indeed a great loss for the show makers as Eisha and Sartaj's pairing was being loved by the audience very much. Th show was also in the news recently for having roped in actors Iqbal Khan and Deepshikha Nagpal for pivotal roles.

Good, I feel sarrtaj has done a right thing. His character has become a mess off late the story line totally changed the series has become a total bore very boring .

I feel Eisha also must quit the show and look for a better show high have a great and better story.
Season 2 started well better than season one but I always felt due to season 1 cast the new casts were not getting the desired attention.

The whole show has gone into waste.. better is to end the show on a good note..
if raja is not there there is no Rani

If they are continuing this show they must keep Raja and Rani. Also hope sarrtaj quitting the show is a false news
Eisha and sarrtaj really made a good pair

@bold pls explain? why put blame on season 1 cast when they have nothing to do with season 2?

Sorry no offences it's just my point of view I hAve not ment to demean n y one or any actor.
I have felt that there used to be a comparison of actors that's all .

I was in this forum from long even after season 1 end we used to visit this forum bcs of DD AT but for once we never compared both season bcs it's worthless you will not find a single post like that but yes if audience ,PH or new fans itself compared both season's then it's their fault may be they never able to get over from season 1 no way previous actor's are responsible for this. I just find it's wrong to put blame on actor's who once leaving the show moved on totally and never turn back again..now we can't blame them for their good acting and crating impact in audience mind even in worse storyline,right ?

@bold, excuse me? for your kind info madam, season 1 had reached upto 2.8 n was slot leader for about 2-3 weeks n most of the time it maintained above 2. You have no right to bring Drashti Siddhant or anyone else from the season 1 and insult them just to show how good ur actors are!!

We never pointed our fingers at your season or your stars bcoz we didnt feel it was necessary n none of us were interested in the show nor the new set of actors, don't think that just bcoz we are quiet we dont know to give it back!!

Well sanj dear, they had to put blame on some one so DD-Sid ko bali ka bakra banadiya. And about the comparison, it was the new fan group who brought it n we just asked them in a polite manner to not compare the seasons as it will cause fan wars

@ssree It's so easy to blame them isn't it? None of you even thought for once that why are so many people quitting the show? First Sid,DD,Anjum,Priya and many othes frm the season 1 n then zaan n now sartaj. You guys didn't even think its the unprofessional behaviour from PH.They got a new guy who is experienced n has a good fanbase, n hence they set sartaj free.. Tomorrow they will end Iqbal's char and will bring some one else again.

But, at the end who's responsible for the mess? It's not PH but season 1 cast!!🤪Like kuchbhi !!

Very sad news.

Sartaj managed to make Raja's character likeable although it was the worst hero I've ever watched..he abused a woman, does nothing in life, and with no brains. simply Raja was a good for nothing guy ..😆 But look how much we loved him , just because Sartaj's act and chemistry with Eisha Singh. ❤️

if this news turns true ..it's better to end the show , or kill the leads and take a leap like someone suggested in the comments on the article.

Okay this news is quite shocking as i always thought Iqbal's character was a cameo, however with the lead actor quiting it might not be the case.

However, as much as i have seen of Raja, i saw no character development, for heaven's sake the story didnt even focus on him, It was more of Rani Gayatri's story, it might have been an equal focus on him earlier but i started the show from Iqbal's entry and from that time i dont think Raja's character was even needed, all fault to the writers ofcourse.

Btw serials who start multiple seasons of a show with a different cast are nothing more than sequels of the movies, who just cash out on the brand name. Season 1 had to take a leap due to dipping TRPs if i am not wrong and thus the season 2 did give it a boost .. however comparisons are just not fair.

I wonder what are they even going to do, Raja is in jail as for now .. will they kill him? because sending him away will be too unrealistic and also replacing him will be weird too.
