Swayam and New girl

Do you think Swayam was smitten by the new Girl or was always envious.

I think he was actually attracted to her and at some point got annoyed and then eventually angry at her.

I still feel is angry because she doesn't give a crap about him. And he really wants her..what are your thoughts..
