Siddhartha to experience the Four Sights' in Zee TV's Buddha
Zee TV's Buddha has been airing the very spiritual tale of Gautam Buddha and in the upcoming episodes Siddhartha (Himanshu Soni) will encounter the four examples of human suffering and pain when he will visit the Kali basti. These encounters are referred to as, "The Four Sights."
What are these sights?
The First Sight - He will come upon a rather decrepit, old man. Siddhartha will be shocked at this site as though he looks like a man, his hair would be white, with no teeth, skin will be wrinkled, and his back would be so bent that he will lean on a stick to stay firm. This vision will deeply upset him. In fact, that night Siddhartha will have sleepless night, he will also have immense internal pain and will be dissatisfied with life as he would have never seen something like this before.
The Second Sight - The next day, again, Siddhartha will set out with Channa (Sanket Choukse), towards the Kali basti and this time they will come upon a man who would be sick and covered with sores, his mouth will be foamed and his eyes bloodshot. Once again, Siddhartha will question Channa, who will explain that the man is sick and that everyone can become diseased or sick at any time. Siddhartha will yet again be disturbed to find this fact. That night too Siddhartha will get restless and sit under the tree where he normally sits to meditate.
The Third Sight - On the next trip third day, Siddhartha will notice a funeral procession. He will witness a body lay still and lifeless for the first time ever. He will hear the mourners, weeping and wailing, as if they too are suffering. This is when Channa will tell Siddhartha that death is the end of life and the one who is born must sooner or later die! This fact will shaken Siddhartha completely.
The fourth day, Siddhartha will encounter a poor man/an ascetic (the Fourth Sight) who will be wandering around the countryside without a home or any material things with him. The prince will notice that this man looks peaceful and serene. He will also learn that an ascetic has to be content in whatever life gives him.
Thus, he will decide on becoming an ascetic though his wife Yashodhara (Kajal Jain) will explain him that a life of an ascetic is a difficult one, for Siddhartha it would mean life of content.
