Varun Dhawan to work with dad David Dhawan again; to revive the latter

Varun Dhawan is one of the most promising
actors in Bollywood. The actor made his
debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's Student of
The Year. He has worked with different
directors in these 8 years and also with his
dad David Dhawan. His first collaboration
with his director-dad was Main Tera Hero in
2014. Last year, they again came together
for Judwaa 2 and both the films worked
well at the box office. As reported by
Mumbai Mirror, Varun Dhawan and David
Dhawan will unite for the third time and
revive David's No 1 series. The film will be a
comedy and the project.
Mumbai Mirror reports that the film is still in
the scripting stage. A source informed,
"impressed with Varun's performance in
one of his upcoming films, David wanted to
collaborate with his son again for an out-
and-out comedy for which he has already
begun pre-production and frequent
meetings with technicians. However, this
one isn't a remake like Judwaa 2 but an
original script that will revive David's No 1
series." The source mentioned that Varun
Dhawan is also quite excited to work again
with his dad.
David Dhawan has directed several No 1
series which began in 1995 with Govinda
and Karishma. Dhawan's film under No 1
series includes Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Biwi
No 1, Jodi No 1, Shaadi No 1. The source
further stated, "David and Varun are hoping
to recreate the magic with this film, which is
expected to roll next year. The rest of the
casting will begin after the script is locked."
