Salman Khan to Reunite with Sooraj Barjatya's Next Movie

If reports are to be believed than Salman Khan is all set to revisit the world of Sooraj Barjatya with his next, directed by his younger son Avnish Barjatya. According to Mirror, Sooraj Barjatya who made a comeback last year with hit Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, is currently scripting a love story to be directed by his son. A source close to the family reveals, "While his older son, Devaansh, is into production, Avnish was one of the assistant directors on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Sooraj now plans to launch him as director in his next production. The details are still being worked out but filmmaker has sounded out close friends and there is a possibility that Salman Khan, Sooraj's close friend and the leading man of most of his films, may be part of this project. The cast is yet to be finalised. Sooraj has also been planning a film with Salman that he will direct but that project may take a while."

The new film's details to be directed by Avnish will be finalised when their TV show, which Sooraj and his elder son Devansh are producing, Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan, settles into a routine.

On the other hand Salman Khan will next be seen in Kabir Khan's Tubelight, which is up for a release on Eid 2017 and is a period film, where Salman Khan is seen playing the titular character of a dimwit who is addressed as Tubelight. Tubelight is in search of his brother (played by Sohail Khan) who is an army man and is captured by chinese army.

No no no... it is too soon Salman. The memory of the last dissappointing movie (content wise) is too fresh.

"There is something (in the pipeline with Salman) but there is some time for it. I want to do a film with Salman but I have my TV commitments, which are very important," Sooraj Barjatya told indianexpress.com. The filmmaker's banner Rajshri is returning to television with the show Ek Shringaar - Swabhimaan on Colors.
The filmmaker also said that he is yet to communicate the idea about the movie to Salman as he is still developing it. Sooraj, however, does confirm that like all their previous projections, this one will also have family values at its core.

"I haven't spoken to him about it because we are still in the development stage. It takes me a while. My zone is not in a genre which one can call workable. We both want to do something which keeps the values up regardless of the commercial success. That is our struggle," Sooraj says.

Of course if you will compare to Bajrangi Bhaijaan then it falls short. The film did good in small towns but its youth appeal was less," the director says.
