Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actress Kalki Koechlin have been separated since the year 2013. Latest reports suggest that the two have now filed for a divorce and will officially be parting ways.Kalki confirmed the news while speaking to a leading daily saying," Right now, I am in a good space. Last year was a little bit more of a struggle, as I didn't know where I was going. I wasn't sure where my relationship with Anurag was going. All of it was unclear. Now, we are pretty clear that we are not going to be together. We have already applied for divorce and will get it soon."

The couple reportedly fell in love on the sets of Anurag's film Dev D and got hitched in the year 2011 in a private and intimate ceremony. Soon tabloids were filled with reports of a troubled marriage between the two and the news was confirmed by Anurag who gave an official statement regarding his and Kalki's decision to live separately. " Me and Kalki are separating, we are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing. We request the media to please respect our privacy and give us our space and not speculate. Thank you, Kalki and Anurag," read his statement.

Anurag was previously married to Aarti Bajaj and the two have a daughter. The filmmaker will soon be seen releasing his much awaited venture Bombay Velvet starring Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor.
