They can be compared against certain variables viz their skill, knowledge, talent and achievements in their respective fields. Salman, despite being around since Jesus's days, remains a regional actor, his acting skills, for want of a better word, actually I won't even bother 😆... Salman is mainly liked for his looks, if he had the same exact personality but looked like David Dhawan, he wouldn't exactly have any fans. 😆

Rahman on the other hand, whatever else one may think of him, his skill, creativity and knowledge about music is unquestionable, his achievements - nationally and internationally - cannot be denied. ;)
