Rakesh Roshan was already a known director. It was Hrithik's acting debut that Kareena and her mom almost sabotaged as they felt debuting opposite Abhishek would be a better idea.

You are right...he married in 2000 and Yaadein released in 2001. That means the affair happenned after Hrithik's marriage. But I remember reading that the Khans went to papa Roshan to set his son right.

No but shooting would have been in the year 2000 I believe. It released in July 2001. Shooting must have commenced somewhere in early or mid 2000 back then. They probably stayed away after his marriage in december? They did do K3G too na after that and MPKDH? I don't think Suzanne would have been okay with them doing 2 more films if they had something going on. Just guessing. lol.
