We love the way Gauri Khan so effortlessly manages to dominate the collective consciousness.

At a recent party held in honour of a visiting global celebrity, M'lady of Mannat stumped everyone with her brand new avatar. She came alone and looked quite relaxed and cheerful, and in no hurry to leave. A far cry from the hurried appearances she has been making at parties of late, especially when the presence of a certain someone turned out to be the bee in her bonnet.

On this particular evening, she mingled freely for more than four hours, nursed a nonalcoholic drink throughout and chatted animatedly - not about pursuits of the worldly kind, but that of the spiritual. Life, the metaphysical and a deeper understanding of philosophy is what seemed to be on her mind, and going by the buzz that is still going strong about her conversation, don't be surprised if she signs up for a spiritual retreat, far away from our watchful eyes.
