Profit sharing is much better I think than ripping off producers before the film has made any money. Plus it also brings discipline among stars. Profit sharing has made a notoriously unprofessional star like Salman responsible too. But what happens if the film flops? Do they have a loss sharing too? I believe Rajni sir does that...

^^yeh i think rajnikanth just pays the producer back for all the loss if the film flops...its a clause in his contract or something...and ofcourse, if it is a success, he gets a major pie of the profits too...

its a fair thing to do..i like the concept of sharing profits instead of heavy fixed pay...gives the producer some breathing space...and if the film dosent do well,rightfully, the stars dunt get paid much for it either.

and you guys are right, the idea of profit sharing is so much better...these days many BW actors are following it, I think Shahid did it for Mausam too...but now since the movie failed, how does it work??

It definitely is... Rather than charging 20 crores and delivering a dud... 😆

Profit sharing works well for both teh producers and teh actors...This way the actors too get a share of the pie...

Regarding loss sharing... Its been a while since these Khans movies flopped... If not anything the movies atleast end up recovering the money...

Rajni is teh only one i have heard do that...
