Rajesh Kumar, who is currently enjoying a short vacation with only one serial on air, Baa Bahoo aur Baby, a tri weekly, admits that he is an impulsive buyer! He tells Riya V Anandwala about his set of investments and things which he loves spending on. What's your way of handling money? Well, my investments are fixed. Firstly LIC policy, secondly mutual funds and I have bought a flat too. Do you depend on someone for your investments? I have a C.A. who looks after my money. Well, he consults me, and I do keep a track on everything
So you blindly trust him? Well, yes I do blindly trust my C.A. That's because, the firm from which he hails is certainly trustworthy. Are you an impulsive buyer? I get carried away whenever I am out shopping for things. I am extremely impulsive. There have been times, where I buy something without giving it a second thought and regret later (laughs). Where does most of your money go? Well, I spend a lot on my shoes and perfumes. Gadgets are very basic. I do spend a little bit on my kitchenware. Round about, I spend 10,000 to 15000 a month. What are your views on loan? Well, I think loan is an easy way out, I don't really see it as burden. Yes, the rate of interest suffers, but I can't afford to buy everything! Leave everything else, but a house is very important. How about investing in stocks? I don't invest in stocks, at least till now I haven't thought about it as such. Who will be beneficial of you insurance? Well, of my first investment, my wife and the second, my mother. Do you own a car? Is it on loan? I own two cars, one is Maruti 800 and the other is Ford Icon. I am done with repaying the loan of the first one and another year to gone for the second. How are you by nature, when it comes to your finances? I am very carefree! As I said earlier that I don't think twice before buying, I become a little relaxed. And being stingy is not my type. At the end of the day, how will you describe yourself, a man who depends on his family or a self-made man? Well, I will call it 50-50! Do you bank on any other profession? Mentally I think that I am all for acting. I can't say what will happen two years down the line. I might just opt for some other profession.
