The Khuranas are business people based in Delhi…

Now coming to Geet’s family..

The Handas….

Darji… headman of Hoshiarpur…

He lives in Hoshiarpur…

Kiran… his daughter… married to Jagdish Khurana… Maan’s chachi…

Mohinder Handa.… Darji's only son…

Ranno Handa… Mohinder’s wife…

Geet Handa.. their beloved daughter…

Now, a detailed introduction to the two families and their history…

As you know, the Khuranas and the Handas are no strangers, they are already related to each other….

After Kiran’s marriage into the Khurana khandan in Delhi, Madan and Mohinder became close friends…

Mohinder always had dreams of the city lifestyle and wanted to shift to Delhi for the sake of his daughter’s education…

Kiran’s daughter Annie and Geet are of the same age…

Annie goes to playschool while Geet is still playing on the dirty fields of Hoshiarpur…

But Geet doesn’t have any complaints, she did enjoy her Hoshairpur days…

Ranno also wants her daughter to get the best education which Ranno always missed, being from a remote place in interior Punjab…

After marriage, Kiran got a degree by joining evening college in Delhi…

Ranno has the idea that they get a lot of opportunities even for women at a place like Delhi… she wants to somehow get her daughter admitted in a school in Delhi… preferably where Annie has got her admission… they say it’s such a great place for girls…

They can’t put Geet in the hostel for they have boarding at that school only after class 4…

Ranno pesters Maninder that they too shift to Delhi for Geet’s future…

Maninder has plans to start a business in construction line…

The Khuranas are huge real estate giants but they are not into construction…

Madan already had plans to extend the business and venture into construction too…

Together they come up with a idea to start the construction business together, the Khuranas along with Maninder….

But Kiran is dead against doing business within relationship, she doesn’t want any kind of trouble between her and her brother at any cost at any time…

Business makes foes easily… and it can kill any relationship brutally….

Dadima suports Kiran and rejects the proposal…

But Madan who has so much confidence in Maninder wanted to help him, they have become buddies beyond the relationship ..

The two ladies too are fond of each other, Ranno has to maintain a certain distance out of respect with Kiran, she being the SIL …

But Sheetal is so sweet and Ranno could be more open and bond closer with her…

So it’s decided that Madan will start this business with Maninder… a fifty-fifty partnership firm… M&M constructions…..

Madan and Maninder constructions….

The Handas shift to Delhi and Geet joins Annie’s school as per her mother’s wish…

Ranno is so happy that finally she is out of that backward village…

Maninder works hard to establish the business… he is the more active partner amongst the two…

Slowly and steadily the business picks up and they are making good profits…

The families get together either at the Handa’s place or KM every weekend…

Ranno likes when Sheetal comes to their place for then she is free without the disturbance of her SIL…

The two families have taken a few trips to Manali, Shimla and Srinagar together. .

The kids also spend a lot of time together.. most of the times Annie is also with them..

Sheetal takes Annie with them whenever they go to the Handa home or anywhere else.. Kiran too takes Maan along with her for their family outings, like a movie or restaurant…

So Annie is always there to give Geet company…

Geet and Annie are pretty close buddies from childhood….

Maan is mostly left alone without company as he is the only boy… .

Maan is three years elder to them and is always bossy, being the big brother, responsible and protective…

Maan always has a liking for Geet…

He always admires her soft reserved nature, a contrast to the bold talkative Annie…

When Geet came to Delhi as a four year old, Maan was amused that he got another cute doll to play with, along with his little barbie doll sister, Annie… .

While Maan is attracted to his new playmate, Geet on the other hand is always more fond of her cousin Annie whom she knows from early…

When they started to spend more and more time together, Geet slowly got acquainted with him, yet she is happy to be hanging out with Annie only… She has eventually learnt to co- exist with Maan though…

Geet has settled in her new life in the new place slowly, she didn’t like it here in the beginning, she missed her Darji and the fields where she learnt to walk and talk…

She was Darji’s walking mate, Darji took her along for his evening walks and after a few steps Geet would strike to walk further and ask Darji to carry her on his shoulder which he would happily oblige….

Darji will tell her stories and Geet loved to listen to them…

Some are from the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, and some are his own fantasies…

Geet got the habit of fantasizing everything from then itself… she loves reading fairy tales and prefers the company of books rather than real people….

Maan goes to boarding school, so then their interactions are limited…

Geet is much relieved that she can now freely hang out with Annie without any discomfort with her big brother always stalking them…

But whenever Maan is in Delhi, he picked up from where he left and continued his stalking sessions…

Geet being very silent and an introvert, she wouldn’t talk to Maan at all…

Moreover she was not liking the unwanted attention she received from him….

She is more privy and likes to be left on her own, she enjoys with very little company, like her friend Annie and even at school she just stays with Annie… she goes everywhere Annie goes, and while Annie confronts with everyone easily, Geet reminds the silent spectator mostly…. They are called the twins of their class as they are always together…

When Annie goes out with her big bro, she automatically takes Geet along…

Geet never goes anywhere on her own, she only goes out with Annie.. .

When Maan is around he tags with Annie always…. Even when Geet is not there, for Maan is always the protective brother for Annie… he won’t let her go out alone while he is there…

Annie also likes going out with her brother, he would get her anything and everything she likes…

When Geet accompanies at such outings, Maan would like to get something for her too but she would always refuse… she will get anything she wants herself… her father would get her even the stars of she wanted, but it would only be some books or anything related to studies… why would she need anything from others? Specially Maan?

Geet is actually little boring, with limited or no hobbies other than reading and hanging out with herself…

Being a single child, Geet is used to staying engaged on her own and happy all by herself… she doesn’t need much company, she is happy with even Shinchan’s company…

Maan would have to be satisfied just with looking at her whenever possible…. She is this silent little Pari, the one he wanted to have for himself one day…

Maan is obsessed with Geet from childhood and his admiration for her became habitual and it only kept growing as they grew up..

Let’s see what happens to this love story as they grow old…

What will happen to this “bachpan ka pyaar”?
