Chapter 9 - The proposal - Declined

Geet was madly happy and her happiness could be felt in her activities. Ranu and Rocky both felt it. Mohinder, only felt that there is something positive in the business side. Her parents loved her to any extent, her happiness meant a lot to them. Both their kids knew, their parents will stay with all decisions. 

She looked at her family and a smile crept on her family. Because she was so satisfied with her family, she didn’t feel the need to marry for family. It was exactly Business deal for her.

But then she remembered her Professor, MSK. She felt sad, how he was lonely in this whole wide world. She could feel his loneliness.She went to the temple in her house, joined hands in front of deity

“Please God, send someone to take away his loneliness. He kept smiling but I could feel his loneliness. He stays in a house full of people but there is no one he could say as his. Please take away his loneliness God” Geet was done with her prayer and turned only to see the smiling face of her daughter.

She placed her hand on her daughter's head “I have rarely seen my practical, busy in business,  daughter of mine, here in the temple. I wish God fulfill all your wishes” Geet hugged her mother and left. Rano smiled at the positive change that she was seeing in her daughter. Geet will not agree, thought Ranoo - Geet has already fallen in love with Dev.

Next day, Geet attended MSk's lecture. As the session was going on, Professor and Geet could not stop giving meaningful looks to each other.

After the session, Geet directly headed to the professor's cabin. He smiled and welcomed her. He knew she would be there.

She went and sat on the table, where his laptop was placed and he was busy with it. She casually tried to peep in but he smiled and closed the laptop. Got up and jerked her to him

“Working on something important” she asked caressing his face

“What important can an average man like me do?” he said as he bent to take her lips into his. He then separated to look at her beautiful flawless face. She smiled and ruffled his hair. He smiled and pushed his hand under her shirt as she started opening his buttons. By the time she had opened all his buttons and bared his front, his hand reached her globes and he did not stop today. He filled both her globes in his hands as he took her lips deeply within his. Geet was aroused, as she roamed her hand all over his beautiful body.

He pinched her tip as he lay her on the table, “Ahhh..” she moaned. Geet went into trance with the way he was owning her. All she wanted was to bring him closer and closer. She threw his shirt afar as he started filling her face with wet kisses, biting her lips, then moving to her jawline, then crook of her neck and his hands were mercilessly playing with her globes. He held her hip, lifted it and placed her properly on table, he half bared her front and was shamelessly looking at her front as her curves were have opened half covered

“Professor” she spoke in a low husky voice. She was aroused and the feeling was something she never knew could exist. Her nails were dug in his skin and she lifted her one hand to grasp his hair and bring him closer and took his lips within. She was trying to calm herself with the kiss in return arousing him. He separated and dipped his face in her valley, inhaled her fragrance as if preserving her feel within , then pressed a soft feathery kiss on both her tips “Professor”, she rose up to close the smallest distance between them.

Later they settled and placed their clothes properly on themselves. Professor settled on his chair and she took the guest chair.

Geet had this question since last night, when realization of his being all alone by his own self dawned on her “Professor, what is your opinion about getting married. I mean when do you plan to settle down”

“I am already settled down. Why should one need marriage for it?” he then smiled and raised his eyebrows to her “Why, are you planning to change your groom to be?” he teased

“Professor, please. You know it’s not possible” he could read how helpless she felt. Then she calmed down

“What’s marriage for you?” he casually asked

“For me marriage is a process of life, which should happen within a particular age. And I don't argue much on it as I do not expect anything out of this relation. I have enough love from my family and I neither want or give any love anywhere else. Thus I have used this opportunity to get a good business deal. Get enough limelight from marrying a name like Dev Khurana and have a child which will have reputed lineage. Good money and a respected family name I will get. I don’t expect anything more dreamy from marriage. It’s just an alliance.” He was listening intently to her version of marriage

“Fair enough. So if these are your criteria, you should have investigated enough to make sure your these criteria are being fulfilled by marrying the person you are going to get into this alliance or say deal in your term”

“That’s the reason I said yes to Dev Khurana. Everyone knows how reputed the family name Dev Khuaran is, the money balance of KE, what can one say with the names of Khurana. Yeah I know there is some issue of share percentage there, I will get into it after marriage and then this great business deal. So I think this is the best alliance. And if it’s Dev Khuarna, who need to investigate”

She paused and placed her both hands on his either shoulder who was intently looking at her, absorbing her thought

“What’s your idea about marriage”

“Dropped.” he paused and smiled “I mean, I have had very terrible experiences with people in marriage, so I am fine the way I am. Disastrous marriage have life long effect on people around it”

“But still. What is your idea of marriage? How will you look for your life partner”

“Hmm…” he took his seat “Well, if that has to ever be the case, my only factor will be, I have to madly fall in love with that girl. Nothing else matters to me.”

She gave a small laugh “How poles apart we are. We have exactly the opposite criteria for selecting our partners” he was smiling while  still looking at her intently 

“Whaat??” she asked at last seeing his look on her

“Was just curious, Not that i am proposing but just in case, if I propose you now will you drop idea of getting engaged to Dev”

“Whaatt??” shock and surprise all over her face

“I mean we enjoy our time together and now I am your author who you were looking for long time, i guess you were excited, seeing the excitement that you had for the author”

She moved a bit far away “you are joking right? See i don’t mean to offend you, but we both in marriage, can’t happen right? We are two different people, Poles Apart, as I always say. Family name is important for me, I don’t know yours, you don’t find it so important to tell me. Lineage is important to me and family assets. I know i may sound very shallow to artist like you but that’s my criteria, and you don’t fall under it”

“But you don’t know my family lineage, Family name, my asset”

“Yeah that’s because you never told me. And I understand, everyone doesn't have to be Handa’s or The great Khurana’s. But why don’t you let me know about your family professor”

“No. Very straight, i don’t want you to judge me based on those details”

“See, our ideas on marriage or knowing people do not match at all. And I completely understand, everyone can’t be a famous personality.But that’s my criteria for marriage. I know it all must sound shallow  to you.”

His face had a smile on its face “No, not at all. I appreciate how clear and open you are about your ideas. That is one reason as well, why you are my inspiration”

He then added with funny face “But, you have limited time left to say yes to my proposal. The day you know all about me, this offer expires” She laughed out “Funny. But no, i am very clear about my decision”

She then came closer “Listen, it’s not any dil wil ka mamla from your side, right?”

“Not sure. Maybe, maybe not. If I was tempted to propose you, it can be, not sure though”

She kept her hand on her heart “Better not be. For me it’s just, you know” she shied and shrugged her shoulders for him to understand further.

“I understand. No worries. It will be the same between us till your engagement is done.” He got up, she came forward and hugged him “I really adore you” she said in his ears, he kissed her forehead and led her out.

Geet then got busy with her world of business meetings, deals, profits etc. Three days passed and she did not meet the professor as there were no sessions with him. There was a session today on Friday but he had canceled it.

She knew it was nothing to do with their talk but there must be some other reason. He would not let his participants suffer for that very reason. But she badly wanted to talk to him, but how. They have opened buttons of each other’s shirts but have not yet exchanged numbers. Somewhere she knew he would not. He only preferred to meet her in person, wherever the location is.

Geet had a business party to attend today. Mohinder wanted to accompany but Geet convinced that she would handle and on top the security guards would be there.

Annie was all alone in the car. Though the bodyguards were following her car, she knew they would do nothing when Minister’s son Sahil Kumar Chaudhary would come out.

Sensing trouble she dialed “Bhai I think he is following me and it’s so dark. I am scared Bhai. My bodyguards will do nothing. to help me in front of him. Bhai are you men there? Bhai please speak something, later you can get angry, Bhai i am scared”

“Why are you cribbing in my ears Anwesha. If I gave you my words, I am there. I am not like you brother and father.. I am Maa…” he stopped there

“Bhai app khud” “hmm” he did not say much

After fifteen minutes of drive Annie’s car was surrounded by Sahil’s car and her car was stopped

“Get out… today no one can save you Anwesha Khurana” As expected all her Bodyguards disappeared leaving her all alone.

“Bhai.. where are you Bhai” she tried to delay coming out, waiting for Bhai. Sahil broke the glass of her window, opened her door and pulled her out. The moment he pulled her out, he felt an unexpected hard punch on his face. 

“Bhai” Anwesha tried to hug him but he held her by her arm, dragged inside her car and signaled one of his men

“Take her home. And not a word for what happened here. Both of you” he gave a stern look to Anwesha, who nodded in agreement. her car left the location.

And later, Sahil was badly thrashed. Professor hit all his men badly. Then he held half fainted Sahil by his collar

“Ask you men to move or i trash you more” Sahil signaled his men to move away

“Who are you”

“You don’t have status to know who I am” he handed his card to him

“Give my card to your Dad. You will know who I am. Leave now” he roared

Geet was watching the fight from far as her car was crossing the path and she halted to see how a man was harshly trashing someone. She certainly did not approve of such an act. 

After Sahil ran away from there, he turned and then Geet was horrified to see it was her professor who was thrashing someone.

She got out of the car and their eyes met. She came forward and held his collar

“What the hell was this professor? I can’t even imagine you doing such street fight”

“You know nothing inspiration, so don’t get into this” 

“So is this why you canceled the session today?” 

“I am not obliged to answer you that.” 

“You can very well not answer me. But street fighting definitely is a very low act. Actually witnessing your act today, my doubt is clear. My decision to marry a decent person like Dev is correct. I was very correct to decline your proposal. You are such an uncertain person”

he came forward and pulled her to him “You really took my proposal seriously, Inspiration. Why are you giving me explanation of your decision, who are you clarifying, me or your own self ”

He traced her face from his finger as he looked at her with pure lustful eyes “It’s been three days, i know you are aching as well” he bent to take her lips

“Don’t you dare, professor. my commandos are watching”

“And you think i am scared of your commandos when you are in my arms” and he bit her lips and sucked them to drown her in his passion. Her commandos came out, Geet signaled them from behind to move back as she herself got lost in his kiss.

The commandos moved aways and Geet held his hair in her fist to pull him closer and closer

“Madly missed this” she said between the heated kiss as her hands were all over his back and his exploring her soft skin and reaching her curves, crushing them as harshly as he could. Aroused Geet pulled him even closer and closer 

“Three days were too much. Gosh how am i gonna handle this distance” she spoke between their passionate interaction. They separated after a while. She circled her hand around his neck

“Life with you is so adventurous but so scary professor” 

He smiled, “Good night Inspiration. Drive safe” She nodded “Good Night”
