One more week passed and today both parties had finally decided that they would sign the merger.

Handa’s lawyer came forward

“So let’s all of us be clear. We have found out after we both parties sign, the deal only be incomplete”

Khurana’s saw each other, trying to hide their concern.

“Incomplete why? What’s further complication”

“No complication from our side. But from other side. Deal will only be concealed from KE only after final authority signature from their side.”

“Final authority?”

Dev jumped in “Don’t worry Geet and Handa uncle. Mr. Lawyer is concerned for no reason. You know it’s much bigger a company so we have more process. We are main KE and we will get that authority signature”

“But no worries ma’am, from our side too deal will only conceal after that signature. So we are good. I just wanted to clarify”

So the two parties signed the merger which was still incomplete.

Khurana Mansion, study hall on ground floor. Sanjeev was roaming to and fro.

“Roaming like this won’t help Dad. You have to talk to him”

“Dev, do you really think it’s that easy a task and why will he listen to me. You have to go and request him”

“I and request him? No way Dad. I won’t bow to him.”

“Both of you can’t go to him, then forget the deal” said Ragini all irritated

“Vicky will go” declared Dev

“First, why will I go, it’s your merger, second do you think he will sign if I take your deal to him”

Next morning, at breakfast table, Khurana’s were having breakfast with snail speed, every now and then looking up on stairs.

The person they never wanted to see today they were waiting for him eagerly. Their hands were tied.

Dev got Geet’s phone in the mean while

“Yes Geet”

“So is the signing done from your side.”

“Don’t worry Geet. It’s just formality, it is not a big deal” they talked little and disconnected.

Then they heard the long awaited footsteps coming down. All got busy as if they least cared

He simply ignored them and moved passed when Sanveej voiced “Maannu”

He closed his eyes, hating to hear his name from that person but he turned and Dev said

“Maannu, we don’t need much of your time. This is the file. Just sign it and we do not need anything else from you”

He came closer to Dev, standing completely opposite to him. Dev kept brave face but he was intimidated, any one could say

“Do you really not know who you are talking to? Mr. Dev Khurana.” he turned to move towards kitchen

“Maannu, it’s our part of share, why do you care? Just sign and finish”

He came closer “First change you tone for me to even touch the file” he declared

Ragini was in no mood of Dev’s ego game now. She wanted the deal to be signed badly. They were going in lose and only this merger could help

“Maannu… we will face lose and gain, why you have to worry. Just sign it.”

He looked keenly at Ragini. The hatred reached her. She knew it was not good idea for her to speak. She signaled Dev

Dev took deep breath to keep his ego inside “Maannu, please sign the paper. We need this merger”

He brought his ear closer “First sentence was not clear, little louder”

Dev again drank all his ego “Maannu, Pleeaasee sign the paper”

“Good I like this tone” he smiled. Took the file in his hand. Khurana took the relief, ohh it was easy but then

“I will read the document and decide if I will sign or not. Need couple of days”

“Couple of Days?” they said in unison

“I have other important stuff to do” he shrugged his shoulder and left with file

Dev was in office trying to work on a new deal. He was in pressure; all his deals were going wrong. He was not able to crack any new deal and old projects he was struggling along with Vikrant to keep them going. It was then he got call from Geet. Uff another problem

“Yes Geet, how are you?”

“Good, Thank-you. How are you Dev.” But before he could answer

“Ok Dev, is the deal signed by that authority”

“Off course Geet it will. He have to go through it. Couple of days” “hmm ok”

After couple of days, whole Khurana clan kept waiting for Maannu but he never came till late night

On third day he came downstairs when all were having breakfast. Ragini got up

“You signed the file? Give it to me.”

“I will sign it” what he has not yet signed

“I will sign it but I need to sign it in presence of both parties involved”

“What have you to do with who all are involved. You sign the paper and leave” said Sanjeev irritated.

“Nothing more can be expected from you Mr. Khurana. If I am signing authority above you, there must be a reason” he openly challenged Sanjeev

“But make sure you are there only as signing authority, no more.” Came from Dev

He laughed and came to Dev “Does my identity scare you that much?” he laughed pushing everyone there in irritation

“Ok.. enjoy and chill. I will be there as signing authority only. But both parties are needed.” He started to move

“Schedule any time later next week, in Khurana Office” he ordered and left.

It was these such times that they felt helpless in front of this man. Other times were nice, he dwelled in his world. But any signature and he puts all the rules that they hated.

“How I wish Dad, you were able to impress Grandpa” said Dev irritated. His ego was crushed in front of man who was unknown to this world and he was Dev Khurana.

Ragini echoed Dev’s word

“Yes, if I was busy impressing your Grandpa, you would not be present in this world Dev” and he left as well.

Dev called Geet that they all need to meet next week and final sign off will happen.

“Actually Geet, KE is very strict in such deals”

“Dev, actually I am happy. This is first time I am feeling confidence in this deal. The way the signing authority is going sign in front of all, it gives confidence. Very nice decision”

“Yes, that’s what KE is” and he disconnected. The fact that she was impressed by Maannu’s decision even without knowing him, killed Dev. Why did he not come up with such idea?

Next week and it was day of deal signing. Both Geet and Mohinder where on way. Geet was actually excited to meet the signing authority who took such decision of transparency.

They were on way to office when Geet remembered she missed her important notes.

“Dad you move forward, I will get my notes” Mohinder moved forward and Geet went back.

Later Geet was rushing and reached the lift. As lift opened, without seeing anything she simply hit someone and lift closed.

She immediately straightened herself to look at the man in front of her and before she could stabilize, he swiftly pulled her to him, silly smile always adoring his face

“You? here?” but she could not move away. His hold was possessive yet comforting, she could simply not move out

“Tumne bulaya aur hum chale aaye” he again pulled her in jerk to him and she let him. What happened to her with his closeness that she left control to him

“Who allowed you in office here?” she held his shoulder for support

He took his lips near her ears, slightly making contact but sending thousand shiver down her

“Heard you are coming, so barged in”

“Why are you here, answer straight or I will get the security and they will throw you out”

He took his other hand to her face and removed her hair flocks behind her ears “So perfect make up. I like natural.”

“I don’t car…” her voice went in air as he placed his lips on her cheeks, making it all wet from his tongue. Geet went into trance, his talks his hold, his touch it took her away from her worldly self. He slid his hand under her shirt and she not being able to remove it, she got angry on herself and held one side of his shirt and stretched it to make all his buttons fall down and fall on ground. None cared. Inside her shirt he slid his hand up, she took his lips and bit lower one.

He opened his lips and she pushed her tongue inside it. So many unknown sensation running inside her. She wanted to pull out, this was not her. No normal girl will act this way and she was Geet Handa, but her feelings were over powering as he was submissive to her lead. He then swiftly moved her and placed her on wall, took both her hands on the wall and pinned them and took her lips. At that moment she just let him. It was moment beyond any logic for her. This common man held that power on her.

And then he smiled and looked at her “You are good at paying off”

“What have I to pay off for now?”

“You will soon know inspiration” she didn’t realize she was still in that pinned position by him, in his control

“is this crazy you behave with all girls?”

“do you think you are so common.. all girls hhhh….? Only my inspiration has this opportunity”

“You have guts” he winked and placed small peck on her cheeks. Her heart fluttered. This man did whatsoever to her, The Geet Handa. However hard she wanted to feel, nothing about his touch was abusive, it was so inclusive.

Her phone rang and when she realized she is not able to pick her phone due to her position

“Leave me. How dare you hold me this way” he left her and she pushed him to check Dev’s call was incoming

“I hate you, I really do. Don’t even try whatever you are up to.” He pressed the button, lift started and then she came to sense, he has for so long held her attention in stopped lift.

“I love this kind of hatred” he said with smile

Her eyes popped out realizing she was late for the important meeting, due to this man. No Geet Handa is never this late.

“You made me late. I am never late for any meeting, it’s my record”

“I always arrive late” he said casually

“I can tell that. You are complete opposite of me. I don’t know what I am doing here with irresponsible person like you”

“Enjoying!!” he winked and left as lift opened for his floor

Geet landed on 8th floor and she was surprised to see the elegant office. She asked someone and moved to ladies’ room to fix herself back to her professional self.

Geet looked at herself – this was some different Geet and not her. She was perfectly arranged every time. But this Geet that she saw was a complete mess, her lipstick and make up was rubbed, her hair not in his place as it is designed to be. She closed her eyes in frustration only to feel him all over her. She snapped opened her eyes to find she was alone.

“Grrr Geet stop. This is not you. Stop being what you are not. For now focus on deal finalizing and meeting the signing authority of KE.”

Adi was busy looking at the dipping figure of company when there was knock on his door and before he could answer the person entered his cabin.

He looked dumb struck at the man in front of him as if seen a ghost

“Sir you?” he got up in respect. Happiness in Adi’s face could be seen, yet the condition in which the person was standing in front of him pained him

“After so long Sir” “Adi, I may look like ghost to you but I am human. Stop gapping”

That brought Adi to present and he started laughing “Sir your shirt”

“Yes, all because of you. I implemented your suggestion and see what happened” he showed his shirt with no buttons

Adi laughed and slight tears came out reminiscing the olden days

“Sir at last…”

“very interesting, you be happy but she hates me. Now give me your shirt fast. Ek sign kerni hai and then I need to get out of this place fast”

While opening hi buttons “Sir… this place, it need you sir. It’s dying.” he gave his shirt

“Adi No, don’t start on this. You need my company, come on weekend drink plan” and he left.
