Vidhu Vinod Chopra has launched the teaser for Zero Se Restart, the much-awaited prequel to Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail. Released on November 13, the teaser invites viewers to revisit their first dreams. Chopra’s powerful message aims to reconnect audiences with the pure ambitions they held before life’s challenges clouded them.
In an Instagram post, Chopra shared the teaser and posed a thought-provoking question. He urges everyone to remember their childhood dreams—whether of becoming an actor, doctor, engineer, or IAS officer—and reflect on how life may have diverted those goals. Chopra's words resonate deeply, encouraging people to reconnect with their younger, hopeful selves.
Chopra says, “Let’s go back to the moment when we had our first dream which we may have forgotten. Let’s go to zero. Let’s meet ourselves.” Through this, he beautifully highlights the importance of starting over and discovering our true purpose, away from society’s demands and expectations.
The teaser’s highlight is a heartwarming scene from 12th Fail, where Vikrant Massey’s finds out his exam results, capturing a moment of hard-earned success. This scene serves as a bridge between past struggles and present triumphs, symbolizing how reconnecting with our initial goals can lead to personal victories.
In his caption, Chopra writes, “Each one of us has a ‘zero’ moment—a time of pure ambition and hope. Let’s go back to that place with Zero Se Restart.” Fans expressed excitement for the film, leaving comments like “Looking forward to this!” and “This looks so intriguing.” Starring Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, 12th Fail is based on Anurag Pathak’s 2019 non-fiction book. It tells the inspiring story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an IPS officer.
