Zareen Khan has publicly called out an entertainment portal for misrepresenting her recent podcast appearance. The actor shared a statement on Instagram Stories, criticising the portal for using misleading and attention-seeking headlines.
In her note, Zareen wrote, “I’m shocked at the ability of media portals carrying unnecessary controversial clickbaits and baseless headlines just to get views.” She said she had joined the podcast expecting a respectful conversation but was disappointed by how things unfolded afterward.
She added that her team reached out to the portal and requested them to remove the misleading content. However, the platform allegedly responded rudely and without regret. According to Zareen, they admitted to using sensational headlines on purpose to boost engagement. “If this is what it’s come down to, then it’s really sad—especially when all that I said came directly from my heart and in all honesty,” she said.

The actor clarified that none of the viral quotes being shared were actually said by her. She claimed that the headlines were made up to stir unnecessary drama. Urging followers to think before believing everything online, she wrote, “Shame on these media portals for twisting things in a completely dishonest direction.”
Zareen didn’t name the portal, but her reaction adds to a growing list of celebrities who’ve expressed concern about digital content being manipulated for views.
Zareen Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with Veer opposite Salman Khan, is also known for films like Housefull 2 and 1921. In a recent conversation, she opened up about working on Hate Story 3, describing it as a tough and demanding experience. While she gained attention for her bold role, Zareen admitted it wasn’t an easy project and came with its own set of challenges. Having worked in both Hindi and regional cinema, Zareen has maintained a relatively low profile in recent years. Her last film was Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele in 2021.
