One of the biggest changes came with Ruhi stepping in as the surrogate for Abhira and Armaan's child. While the Poddar and Goenka families initially celebrated the arrival of the baby and the strengthening bond between Ruhi, Rohit, Abhira, and Armaan, tragedy soon struck during the Gangaur festival. The new promo begins with Armaan, Ruhi, and Abhira visiting the hospital for the baby's ultrasound. All three share a joyful moment as they step into the sonography room, excited to witness the baby's heartbeat. As Ruhi is asked to lie down for the check-up, she suddenly starts coughing, prompting Abhira to step out to get water. In her absence, the doctor begins the procedure and, assuming Armaan and Ruhi are the baby's parents, addresses them as the mother and father, inviting them to listen to their unborn child's heartbeat. She asks the parents if they would like to listen to the first heartbeat of their unborn baby.

Ruhi responds positively, and at the same time Abhira also expresses her wish to hear it. She turns back to witness the moment only to realise she's too late as Ruhi is already sharing the special moment with Armaan.

In that brief moment, Ruhi has taken the opportunity to experience the baby's heartbeat first, sharing it with Armaan. With one side of the earpiece on her ear and the other placed on Armaan’s, Ruhi listens to the baby's heartbeat, while Abhira is left standing alone, feeling left out and heartbroken. Armaan notices Abhira’s pain and gestures towards handing her the earpiece, but the moment he hears the baby’s heartbeat, he becomes emotionally overwhelmed and engrossed, forgetting everything else.
