The winds of young love are stirring once again, but this time, they carry a storm. Dhadak 2 has finally unveiled its first look, and it's far from a typical romantic poster. With Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri locked in a hauntingly intense gaze, the chemistry is palpable, hinting at a story that's more turbulent than tender. Shared by producer Karan Johar on social media this Wednesday, the poster has already ignited curiosity, conversations, and comparisons.
The caption accompanying the reveal, "Do dil. Ek dhadak." feels like a quiet promise of emotional chaos. Johar also announced that the official trailer will be released on July 11, giving fans just a few more days before they dive into the world of Dhadak 2. The film is set to hit the big screen on August 1, 2025.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is not a continuation of the 2018 romance that starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, but rather a spiritual successor, carrying forward the soul of young, forbidden love in a divided society. While the original explored inter-caste love, this one promises to venture deeper into identity, power dynamics, and the emotional cost of choosing love over conformity.

Clearly, Dhadak 2 is not playing safe; it's pushing boundaries, both musically and thematically.
Backing this ambitious project are Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, Cloud 9 Pictures, and producers Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, Umesh Bansal, Meenu Arora, and Adar Poonawalla.
With a promising ensemble cast and fresh directorial voice, Dhadak 2 is shaping up to be a love story that doesn't whisper, it roars. And if the poster is anything to go by, the film might not just break hearts, it might just break the mould.
