Twenty years after the release of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Alia Bhatt paid tribute to the film by recreating one of its most iconic scenes. The video, shot on the sets of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, featured Ranveer Singh and Ibrahim Ali Khan in cameo appearances.
Alia stepped into the shoes of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character, Poo, for the memorable scene where she rates boys lining up to be her prom date. In a humorous twist, she gave a negative score to Ibrahim Ali Khan, who appeared towards the end of the queue. The video concluded with Ranveer Singh stepping in to recreate Hrithik Roshan’s part from the original film.
The video quickly gained attention, with Kareena Kapoor Khan herself acknowledging Alia’s tribute. She reshared the clip, expressing admiration for Alia’s performance and calling her one of the finest actors of the time. Fans of the original film, as well as those following Alia’s journey, celebrated the fun throwback.

The character of Poo, played by Kareena Kapoor, became a cultural phenomenon, with her dialogues and style continuing to influence pop culture. The film’s success solidified its place as one of Bollywood’s most memorable family dramas.
At the time of the video’s release, Alia and Ranveer were filming Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, a project that later became a hit. Their on-screen chemistry and performances were widely appreciated, adding to the film’s success.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who appeared in the video, later made his Bollywood debut with Nadaaniyan. Unfortunately, the film received significant criticism, with many questioning his acting skills. Social media users were quick to troll him, and the movie struggled to impress audiences and critics alike.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt continues to take on major projects. She is currently working on Love & War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Additionally, she will be seen in Alpha, a spy thriller featuring Sharvari Wagh, which is part of an expanding cinematic universe.
