On Sunday, former India captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, were seen enjoying a relaxed walk in London. Dressed down and seemingly unnoticed, the couple looked at ease, a stark contrast to the attention they typically receive in India. They were observed sharing a friendly conversation and laughter with a local, a moment that quickly circulated on social media.

Exploring the city in relaxed, casual clothes, the couple seemed at ease. This break provides Virat the opportunity to spend quality time with family before he gears up for the highly anticipated Australia series in October, a key event in India's cricket calendar.

Seeing Kohli so relaxed and without the usual spotlight during his break from cricket deeply touched fans. It felt like a moment of peace for many, while others expressed a sense of missing their cricket hero.

Following the birth of their second child, Akaay, in February 2024, Kohli and Anushka relocated to London. In April, during a YouTube interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr. Sriram Nene, husband of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, shared his admiration for the couple. He revealed that Anushka had discussed with him their desire to move to London to provide their children with a more ordinary upbringing.

“I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times; he’s just a decent human being. I’ll tell you something, and this is what you learn: they all put their pants on one leg at a time. We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting," Dr Nene said.

Virat Kohli was notably absent from the recent five-match Test series against England, having announced his retirement from the format in May. The celebrated batsman concluded his Test career with 9230 runs across 123 matches, averaging 46.85, which included 30 centuries and 31 half-centuries.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's story began in 2013 on a commercial set. They maintained a private relationship, culminating in a small wedding in Italy in 2017. Their family grew with the arrival of their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, and their son, Akaay, in February 2024.
