Vir Das remembers male co-star who got insecure seeing the former's base make-up? Social media guesses names

Vir Das who has put India on the international map with his stand-up comedy recently did a podcast with a desi Instagram platform. The conversation was full of anecdotes, narrated by Vir Das in his inimitable style. He was asked if male actors on a set gossip as much as their female counterparts are rumoured to do. Vir Das said he had encountered such male co-stars quite early in his career. While he did not take names, the manner in which he narrated it make everyone take guesses. We can see that most of the people have guessed it is Shahid Kapoor. Vir Das after he ventured into movies did projects like Badmash Company, Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone to name a few. In fact, YRF’s Badmash Company was one of his first films. He said the makeup artist who was one of the biggest names in the industry did his base makeup as a birthday gift. Later, the main hero told him that his makeup looked too cakey. After a few days, the makeup person of the lead actor knocked his door and said the star was envious of the base make up done on Vir.

Well, it is not unusual to have wars over makeup personnel in Bollywood. We have all read that story when Katrina Kaif had allegedly thrown a huge tantrum after finding out that one of her preferred makeup artiste was going to be with Anushka Sharma for a London event. It seems she was so upset that YRF honcho Aditya Kapoor had step in and tell Anushka that she could not use his services. This incident allegedly happened in 2011 when she was filming Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Anushka Sharma had also made her debut with YRF some years back so both were equally dear to them.
