Upcoming show Lajwanti Set To Hit Screens in June....

As Telly Buzz had reported earlier, Trilogy Media is coming up with a new show on Zee TV titled Lajwanti.

The show will be a period drama tracing back to the era when India and Pakistan weren't divided into two countries. It will have a backdrop of Punjab where a girl comes from a family which is dominated by males. Thus she has the mindset that she will also be dominated by her husband. But she will end up getting married to a city based guy whose mentality will be altogether different.

Sid Makkar and newbie Ankita Sharma have been finalized to play the lead roles.

As per our source, "Lajwanti will go on air from June 16 at 8.30 PM which is the slot currently given to the show Jamai Raja. Thus Jamai Raja might go off air or will get another time slot, that is still under wraps."

We tried getting calling producer of Trilogy Media Ila Bedi, but she remained unavailable for comment.
