'Unprofessional, DISRESPECTFUL & NOT..': Nikki Tamboli on spat with Gaurav Khanna in Celebrity Master Chef

Nikki Tamboli and Gaurav Khanna, who got into a heated spat on the sets of Celebrity Master Chef recently stirred headlines after Gaurav threw 'carrot peels' at her. Irked, the actress walked out of the sets and demanded an apology from the Anupamaa fame.

Now reacting to the same, Nikki, in a conversation with ETimes TV has called the actor 'unprofessional and disrespectful' and has said, ''He threw carrot peels on my face despite being clearly instructed by the director not to waste food. I have always been particular about taking a stand for myself, and I couldn't ignore this.''

''It wasn't just about the mess—it was about basic respect. His actions were unprofessional and disrespectful. He is not my friend that he can behave this way with me, and I won't tolerate such behavior in a competitive setting where rules and discipline matter,'' Nikki concludes.

For the uninformed, this is not the first time that the actress has gotten into a spat with Gaurav. In one of the episodes on the show, Nikki also called Gaurav an 'insecure man' after he reduced her cooking time upon getting the power to reduce the cooking time of any contestant. Reacting to the actress' claims, Gaurav stated that he is not insecure but just competitive. The actress had also stated that she does not see Gaurav as any competition.
